I think there's a lot to that. Vogel and his staff have been excellent.

Vogel deserves a 10 year extension, he has a chance to become apart of the Pat Riley/Phil Jackson class, Vogel and his coaching staff know how to get players to buy in, he might surpass Phil if he ends up leading the team to multiple championships.

when was the last time a coach got 10year extension in nba?

Okay maybe not 10 year extension but the fact that he is making Waiters and JR to buy in is a amazing accomplishment he deserves to be here long term as well as the coaching staff.

This is something I've noticed since the beginning of the season: all the players have bought into Vogel's system.

Yep. and the other poster that said Kidd would over take Vogel simply isn’t true.. any coach that gets players to buy in and especially players like Waiters and JR deserve a novel prize, Vogel and his staff deserve to be here for a long time.

Can we just spend a moment and marvel at how much we paid for Dion, Kief, AND JR vs how much the Clippers shelled out for Marcus?

Remember how upset some people were when we didn't get Marcus and wouldn't give up Kuzma for him

And still we were swinging for DRose, AI, and Harkless. All in all we did great.

Lots of posters here suggested that the Clippers FO and Steve Ballmer have the upper hand over the Lakers but the Lakers have made some fantastic signings lately, and the Lakers FO seems to be really connected with each other as opposed to recent years when there was drama, I’m thrilled with our current FO.

Hopefully we will feel the same way about Dion after the playoffs. Contributing to a championship team will put him in position to change the narrative about him.

We could, but let's wait a month when the Dion honeymoon is over.

Did anyone anywhere expect the Pistons to agree to a buyout for Kief?

I only saw the first half but he was a black hole, the ball went in and never came out.

I didn’t. That was a pleasant surprise and lucky.

Yeah, the ball then finds the basket which is a good thing

I'm trying to think of another play in this squad (including our superstars) who can do this

We really don’t have anyone tbh.

Even Lebron is either straight ahead or step back. Same with AD.

Waiters handles desperately needed on this team, just need him not to do any of the low iq stuff. Waiters, JR and McGee have a tendency sometimes to do low b-ball iq things. Can’t take creativity away, but at the same time can’t make some of the mistakes that I think we will see. Just minimized those and Waiters will be a welcome addition to the playoff run.

First things first I’m glad Dion is here and yes he’s a certified bucket.

Now with all that said I’m concerned about his lack of defense at times and how his alpha ball dominant style could possibly not blend well with Lebron and AD.

In the small sample he played together with Lebron during these scrimmages he didn’t look great.
A lot of stalled ball movement situations

Can’t say the same for JR, who’s been a pleasant surprise
