Thanks for keeping us updated on those guys, they might have needed to grow and mature, or they felt like being traded was like being fired and they are now taking their game or seriously or maybe it was Coach Walton and his system...

I think the cast offs were decent players, but at the moment none of them are championship calibre players.

The only one i miss in all those players is Josh Hart, the guy was someone we should have kept. He was a good defender and made timely 3s in his limited time.

I think all the supporting cast would need well over 3 to 4 years to make it to the next level, by which time LBJ would have retired.
The Lakers management did the right thing getting a difference maker in AD vs a bunch of players who are just stat stuffers rather than difference makers.

Pelicans and the other teams involved in the trade all were not in a position to make a Playoff play other wise they would never have gone for the trade.
those teams also have time on their side to play with and can wait for 2 or 3 years before their team matures.

The NO players are exactly who we knew they were before the trade. Ball is actually under performing expectations. That's why we knew it was an over-pay at the time but one you still do.

Add BI to this list.

Then again, we got Davis + very decent support cast after this deal. In the end clearly an upper hand.

Good deal for both teams, I’d expect the Pelicans to be much improved next year.

Lakers with LBJ wanted to win now and have a piece to build with in the future (AD).

Pels wanted to rebuild, and being gifted zion, surround him with young players.

Worked out very well for both teams.

Pels are fun to watch. Ingram is pretty terrific at times, quite unique. Zion is a force, really interesting. Ball has consistently improved this season. His shooting percentage on threes is rapidly becoming a better figure than anyone has on LAL (except KCP.) Hart is a good role player but disposable, IMHO. {I miss Svi more. Lonzo will be a 15-7-9 guy in another year (with 43% FGP and 38% on 3's.)}. Update...Lonzo 7-9 from three tonight against Mavs.

Once again, swing by to drop a controversial topic that’s been discussed to death, and bounce. At least people are being civil so far.

Pelicans have a good team for the future, and an exciting team to watch. I like to see young players play well and grow, especially our draft picks whether or not they're on our team.
