I started watching the Lakers since Jordan Clarkson was still a rookie, so I'll get to watch the Lakers in the playoffs for the first time ever!

Doesn’t seem like a big deal as a longtime Laker fan, but these past 6 years have provided a brand new perspective.

Remember Ronnie Price? How about Ryan Kelly?

Can we finally stop the doom and gloom around here? 48-13. #1 in the West by 6 games in the L column. We only trail the Bucks and their historic season by 3 games.

And no more (bleep) talk about us not being able to hang with top teams after wins against Denver on the road, and now the Celtics and Bucks and home (plus 2-0 against surging Pels).

Yes, we have flaws. Yes, the issues against teams with athleticism and depth on the perimeter are still there. But with Lebron and AD, we can still overcome all of that in a 7-game series. LFG.

I'm not gonna mention the two players with the contracts that we all hate.

Hint: One of them is still in our salary books

It’s been a long time since Dwight fouled out and walked by Mitch...

Can they not care anymore about the standings from here on and Lebron and AD should rest or just take it easy when they are playing, especially against bottom dwellers?

I think they just need to make a statement game against the Flippers and then take it easy after that. Is the #1 seeding really that important?

Lmao.
They are too busy rooting for a 8th seed.

This was a brutal 6 year stretch.
At least the first part. Was watchable because of the last years of a legend. The breaking MJs scoring record, KFT, etc. Then it became somewhat excited watching a young team coached by a young coach. After a while though, the losing really began to sour on me. The kids just didn’t care about wins and losses. Look at Giannis how he left after that loss. None of the players we had were talents like Shaq. Kobe, Lebron. AD or even Pau. We weren’t getting anywhere anytime soon.

To finally back to the playoffs is a great feeling. Stlll far from done. But this is what the Lakers are all about. Competing for a title every season, every game means something. We used to be about this for a long time. I really hope this is the start of the return of that mentality and the future. Playoffs every year. Title as an aim every year. Sure can’t contend every season like we are this year, but aim for it. Establish that same legacy Dr Buss built.

Ramona, the last time we made the playoffs was when Dwight was on the squad?
