The only superstar who signed with us in the FA since Shaq. He came here when we were a lottery team. Other superstars only sign with a team that had just played the finals or that they have another superstar. |

Yeah, take this asinine angle on his statement, as if it was a declaration of "mission accomplished." That's what any fair-minded person would do, right?
Dude has 3 rings. He has a better understanding of what it takes to win them than you do. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."

smh this was uncalled for. i'm critical of lebron at times, as i am with all players but overall he has been great. as good as you can ask for especially at age 35. hes the sole reason why we're even in position. _________________ Kobe Forever |

Good for you Lebron! Every Laker great has had to "Earn It": West and Chamberlin finally did it in 72, Magic did, finally beating the chowderheads in 85 (after a disastrous 84), Shaq did, after the shortened 99 season debacle, Kobe did, against the chowderheads.. and now it looks like you're on track.
Its actually a pleasure to watch the Lakers play bully ball, brings back great memories of the Shaq and previously Wilt days! Onwards to Sunday, and more so, the post season. _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

Hats off to LBJ. He is without a doubt, one of the top 5 to have ever played the game. So sweet that he finally found his way to the right team. _________________ Not a legend |

Last night was one of the best performances ive seen by lbj as a laker
He was just dominant. Best player on the floor. His lock down on giannis for a few possessions was game changing.
I get a kick out of how media chirped on how giannis took it to lbj during the all star game. Lbj was having none of it when it counted.
Lets just call it the way it happened: yes giannis had a nice stat line but he was schooled by the master last night in what you do in a high intensity game.
Lbj is giannis daddy. We are so lucky to have greatness choose the lakers and lead like that.
(No offense giannis youre still a great player and want you here nonetheless!) |

As does he, the league hasn’t suffered the past 6 years, the Warriors kept things moving. But it will be good to pay closer attention to the playoffs. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Ecstatic we got the win.
And I appreciate LBJ stopping our playoff drought.
But honestly, this quote comes off weird to me too. I think it's because you wouldn't hear a quote like this from Kobe unless we just won a chip.
Lakers are about chips. Not playoffs. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Lol at the overreactions for his quote. He knows he needs to win a ring (or two) to cement his status with lots of Lakers fans. He knows winning last night isn’t that. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Ecstatic we got the win. That 3rd quarter was LBJ's best quarter of the season. Hope we get a win tomorrow too.
And I appreciate LBJ stopping our playoff drought.
But honestly, this quote comes off unsettling to me too. I think it's because you wouldn't hear a quote like this from Kobe unless we just won a chip. Heck even making it out of the Western Conference finals wouldn't make Kobe say this. Lakers are about chips. Not playoffs. |
I would just take it at face value. Lbj has consistently said he focuses on winning rings. Its not like hes saying “yea i did what i needed got a playiff birth”
Winning to him means being in the finals and getting the chip |

If that's the case. Maybe blame the author of the article. It's misleading. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I do the same thing and have to check myself but Lebron can’t be compared to Kobe. When I heard his comment about refusing to play if there were no fans I first thought that Kobe would play on a deserted island if he had to. But that isn’t fair to Lebron. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I feel ya. And I don't hold it against Bron. It's just a little off-putting. Like if you're with someone for a long time. And then you're with someone new and the new person does or says things differently. It's an adjustment. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |
