The best overall record would be nice. HCA throughout is certainly an advantage. But more important is that the team paces itself. HCA isn't that big of an advantage if your team is gassed.

i honestly dont see us catching the Bucks unless they sit Giannis for 5+ games.
I'd rather see us use our cushion to play matchmaker in the West handing out wins/losses to teams to give us the most favorable playoff bracket

to what end?

Warriors went 73-9 and didn't get a ring that year.

Literally the last thing they should worry about

Health health and health.

Get dudes like Kuz and Rondo some confidence cuz far as the latter goes, Vogel won’t sit him to save his life so

the bucks are playing at Denver tonight without Giannis, so i say it is a pretty good chance they lose that game.
if we have a chance after the jazz game, we should go for it.
Bucks have a tougher schedule than us

We're only 2 behind in lost column. No need to push, it may happen naturally. That sounds funny. Lol. When #1 in the west is locked, you then see where the Bucks are at, if it's feasible, you continue to play. Bucks are tough at home. We should get it if possible.

We need to rest our guys in the three games in three nights stretch. Give the game away against the Clippers on the third night of the back 2 back 2 back. Rest 5 or 6 rotation players that game.

I would have them rest against the Bulls and the Warriors, and then have them play against the Clippers.

This way, it can be 2-2, and these foos can shut up

The Warriors are better now with Curry back. Not a team to sleep on.

I think they'll sit Curry if they're in danger of not securing a bottom 4 record. Recall that with the new system, bottom 4 teams all have an equal chance in the lottery.

At the end of the week we should be tied with the Bucks or 1 game ahead. I think we take it on a game by game, week by week basis. But if we have a real chance at HCA throughout the playoffs, we go for it. It would be really nice to have Milwaukee on our home floor in 7th game of the NBA Finals.

Imagine the energy in that game!!!

And the Lakers after March 18th at Utah have a cakewalk mostly. Only hard game could be at Toronto.

But till than we have the Rockets Nuggets Utah. Hopefully we only lose 1 or 2 there.

Wait dam I did forget the Clippers game that got rescheduled.

Bucks about to fall again, this time to denver

That would be 4 losses in their past 5 games, 2 of them no Giannis

That puts the Lakers within a game to just tie.

Its very doable but if im the Lakers Im not going super hard for it - id play as normal until its just about wrapped up, and then as others suggested strategically schedule rest games. It may just fall in our lap regardless.

Yes we should absolutely go for HCA against the Bucks. But that doesn’t mean we can’t load manage or decrease minutes for AD and LeBron. With the addition of Waiters, we are 12 players deep. We can definitely load manage our stars one at a time again teams we will have a good chance of winning against while still playing them full strength with teams that are tougher.

Not to be morbid, but it would be kind of funny if we battled for and won home court advantage and then played the entire playoffs to empty stadiums.

Weird, Bucks must've figured they'd lose in Mile High w/out Freak so they load managed others as well including Middleton.

They still got 4 games on us however..gonna be rough but in reach now!

Lakers getting HCA might also mean Lebron has a real shot at MVP.

MVP is a novelty media creation. Having HCA for the entire playoffs including the Finals would be huge!

Lakers are going to have some tough series to navigate. Having the opportunity to open at home to set the tone for the series and then potential game 7s will be needed to get this team through four series.

Keep playing and adjust as they need to. Just can’t squander opportunities.

Got 4 on us?

We're behind them 1 on the loss column.

HCA is a must...and that's how we should be approaching the rest of the season.

Might as well go for the jugular. Bucks are on the verge of panic/collapse, so let's send them into a tailspin heading into the playoffs! Should still be able to rest LeBron and AD some games toward the end.

LeBron not playing tomorrow, AD and Caruso questionable, so Lakers load managing > best record in league.

Yeah this. To me it’s as simple as who gets HCA gets MVP out of Bron/Giannis

Both have got things going for them - Giannis having the overall statistically dominant season, while Bron is still doing everything well on the court and the fact the Lakers are a lot worse when he’s off the floor

That said, LBJ will be rested tomorrow but we should still get the W I believe (touch wood), Nets haven’t been superb this year

We should absolutely go for HCA once Bron comes back

Lock down home court advantage, and start resting players. Keep an eye on the Bucks, and Giannis' injury. Go from there. Good teams can win in the finals without homecourt, but securing home court in the West should be top priority.
