Too late, I had to give an extra pack I had to a sib. Thankfully, I had enough before this whole virus thang. I hear tale that a lot of stores are out of it. Ordered some water (etc) thru instacart yesterday because my local Costco was out of that as well. Anyone else out there jonesin for TP or water? How regional is this shortage at the moment?

Exactly. Wonder what the Home Depot supply is on a bidet.

I've never used a bidet. It's my understanding you should wipe first. That calls for TP. Charmin Ultra Soft and Cottenelle Flushable Wipes do just fine. I ain't got no tracks.

The most used Bidet's are Bidet Wands. No need for a prewipe, and are easily attached to a normal toilet. They are heaps more sanitary than TP. TP is a 19th century solution to a common human need. I'm flabberghasted that a hygenically obsessed country like the US still even entertains that the use of TP is acceptable. I guess old habits are just hard to break. Americans could do so many better things with the outsized amount of money they spend on TP.

Bidet Wand

The wipes shouldn’t go in the sewer, they clog things up.

I have it covered on water, I can use my still and distill tap water.

Cottonelle ® Flushable Wipes are designed for toilets and tested with plumbers, so you can rest assured they are sewer and septic safe, and immediately start to break down after flushing. Additionally, they're plastic-free and made of fibers that are 100% biodegradable.

This is not true if you talk to anyone who deals with sewers and septic systems.

Second this, my mom's house is old and has an old-school septic system. She can only use certain types of toilet paper (found out the hard way), and she wouldn't dare using the "flushable" wipes.

I don't even know how they sell enough of those to make a good profit with the preponderance of lo-flo toilets out there, most of which are barely capable of flushing one wad at a time, thereby negating whatever water they were designed to save by patrons flushing more than once per trip. Beyond that, why should sh-ters across the US be forced to deal with a lo-flow toilet when Nestle/Pepsi-Coke etc are sucking up so much water from the environment to put it into bottles that it's no longer sustainable in numerous places? Saw an episode about the bottled water grift on that Netflix show "Rotten" and now I wouldn't doubt if the water game rakes in more money annually than crude oil. Interesting program, about half of it was to show what poor Africans have to do just to get a day's worth of even semi-potable water.

All the negativity about flushables wipes caused me to use my best friend, Google. I find flushable can mean they flush down the drain. There is a difference between flushable and ability to disintegrate. Cottonelle says they disintegrate. They also say to read the labels to see if the products disintegrate. Some do and some don't.

I haven't had any plumbing problems. It may be dumb luck or good pipes and sewerage systems. At any rate I'm going to continue my use of flushables. I still ain't got no tracks.

Be sure to thoroughly wash, disinfect and rinse the wash cloth after use.

I'm not even so sure that cooking it to a crisp as in the campfire scene in Three Amigos! would do the trick. There's a clip of that Coyote Peterson spelunking a cave in Mexico to get some footage of vampire bats. When they focused in on the little devils, they had mites and parasitic flies crawlin and landing all over em and they kept screeching in fear of the light. Eww. Twas disgusting. Superhero my TP-less butt.

So Costco initiated a No Returns policy for toilet paper, hand sanitizer and a few other items people hoarded in the first few days of this. Apparently people are realizing that spending a months pay on all those extras when they may be out of work for awhile wasn't a great idea and would rather have the cash.
