My vote goes to McVey. Jeanie Buss is too cheap to fire coach mid season. Between the two I think McVey deserves more to get fired. The team is soft, has no fight in them, and that is directly taken from their head coach. |
Too late to fire him. They needed to try to win a Super Bowl team year. Looks like stockpiling all that talent for a run this year might not happen. |

Don't fret, the Rams will definitely make the playoffs as a wild card team. I doubt the Rams will catch Arizona, a two-game lead and a slightly easier schedule favors the Cards. |

At this point, being the best non-division winner (the #5 seed) could represent the best possible path for the Rams in the playoffs. You'd get the #4 seed (the worst division winner) in the Wild Card round, and as of now that's Dallas. That's a very winnable game, what with their history in the last 20 years of falling short of expectations and the fact that they employ Mike McCarthy as their head coach. Then if you win that, you could get the #1 seed, which might be Arizona. Yes, they beat us earlier, but it's a division game, so there will be familiarity. That said, the Packers could still end up as the #1, or maybe even the Bucs, who knows.
None of it may matter if Stafford is as banged up as reports suggest. |

Stafford's passes have been off. 2 acrobatic catches of ball thrown behind the receiver, 1 overthrown to Beckham that could have been 6. It looked like Odell was a little shy. Like he was concentrating more on the safety than he was on the ball.

We beat up on a bad team 37-7. It felt good to get back in the win column. Sony Michel was a beast. 121 yards on 24 carries and 1 TD. I think he might be better than Henderson. We need to start running the ball more. It makes our offense so much better. Henderson better step up his game.

I can’t believe that they left Stafford go in the 4th with the way he has been beat up. When he collided with Michel and came up limping it didn’t look good.

Yep. The big test will be next week in Arizona on Monday Night. In my opinion, Arizona's the best team in the league right now.

First thing I take away is that the Jags are a really bad football team....
The second thing is that I think Michel should be our lead back. I like Hendo but Sony's sheer bruising style of running sets a good tone and that sort of smash mouth ball would wear defenses out --- as it did vs the Jags. This would also take some of the pressure off of our passing game and the need for Stafford to be great.

They have a 90% chance to make the playoffs right now so I don't think a loss to the Cardinals will hurt that much.

Correct, this game is about staying in contention for the division. Win it, and you're 1 back with 4 to go. Lose it, and you're 3 back with 4 to go and Arizona would have the tibreaker, so that would be all she wrote. |

Havenstein is a big loss for the offensive line. They were already missing Brian Allen. I have a feeling we won't get the run game going and Stafford is going to be under pressure. Recipe for disaster.

That, my friend, is a tall order, a very tall order. Kyler Murray is to be back to being Kyler Murray. They are also ranked #2 in defense, #5 in offense.
So far, the LA Rams are the 23rd-ranked NFL defense in terms of yards allowed. They are the 19th-ranked defense in terms of rushing yards allowed, and the 23rd-ranked defense in terms of passing yards allowed.Oct
