As a Laker fan. I hope a little part of you died when you typed that.
Haha, we were already denied the pleasure of sending the Clippers home! I want the satisfaction of sending those green bastards packing!

Personally I wish you'd take a more definitive position.
But who cares. Lakers getting championship #17!!!

These teams are very good and can be very disciplined on both sides of the ball. But they also seem a lot smaller than us so that has me confident even though they both have great coaching, clutch shot makers, good team chemistry, and are very hungry. We pretty much check all those boxes + have size and will have the best player on the floor, and two of the top three.

I mean, i'm not going to predict that the Celtics will be the first team in NBA history to come back from down 3-0 in a playoff series
Boston's up 12 at half. You may be right. Maybe they win this game and then win the series. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
The league is giving Boston and Miami 3 days off between games 3-4. I don't by the football excuse because the lakers play tomorrow. Also, they could have played Tuesday. They just want to give Boston a chance to get back into the series. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

Better for us, I think Miami poses more problems for us.

Kaching kaching
Conspiracies theories are always fun to spread--but in this case, I don't think there is anything to it. Here are the actual conference final schedules. You can see that it makes a whole lot of sense to skip the game on Monday, September 21. Since the ECF started earlier, skipping a day allows the WCF to catch up. After the skipped date, the ECF and WCF games will be on more parallel schedules (i.e., Game #5 for the ECF is on 9/24 and Game #5 of the WCF is on 9/25). If you are going to pick a ECF series night to skip, you might as well make it a night in which the NBA TV ratings are a bit weaker (i.e., it is hard to compete against Monday Night Football).
ECF #1 9/15
ECF #2: 9/17
WCF #1: 9/18
ECF #3: 9/19
WCF #2: 9/20
No Game on Monday, 9/21
WCF #3: 9/22
ECF #4: 9/23
WCF #4: 9/24
ECF #5: 9/25, if necessary.
WCF #5: 9/26, if necessary.
ECF #6: 9/27, if necessary.
WCF #6: 9/28, if necessary.
ECF #7: No tentative date as of this moment.
WCF #7: 9/30, if necessary.
After skipping 9/21, the schedule is very much parallel.
Finally, skipping 9/21 potentially benefits the Lakers. Without the skipped date, the ECF winner might get a lot more time off before the championship series begins.

Two of the top three? Who on Boston or Miami is better than AD??
The Lakers would have the two best players if they played Boston or Miami. No way Tatum or Butler is better than Lebron and AD. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

I’m pretty sure he’s saying WE (Lakers) will have two of the top three players on the floor.
We check all three boxes PLUS have size and will have the best player...and two of the top three.. etc.
The league wants Lakers and Celtics and they will do whatever they could to make it happen. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

I am kind of catching that vibe. I hope Jimmy Butler is able to spoil their plans along with his talented cohorts just as the nuggets were able to spoil the clippers. But if not a good old fashion Lakers/Celtics finals would be very groovy. A Nuggets/Heat final would be hilarious in terms of what the league wants/ratings/etc. lol

LeBron vs his old team/coach would be a good storyline too. Weird to see Miami now has low ratings when they were one of the main draws during the Big Three era. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

I understood what he said, but I don’t buy it. Against either team, we will have the two best players on the floor, not two of the best three.

Solid win for Bean town. Still think Miami is the better coached team and will win. But I won't mind if this is a long series. Maybe we can get some rest before the finals. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
