If Utah wins, they are 1 game behind us but the Hornets drop down into the teams that are fighting for a playoff spot.

If Hornets win, Utah stays 2 games back of us. But the Hornets pull further away from the teams that are fighting for 8th. Might be worse for a young team to feel the pressure of having to win games to stay alive than it would be if they've got a cushion to work with.

It's pathetic that I am now scoreboard watching for our playoff hopes. Argh.

I'd rather the Jazz win tonight.

NO could easily crumble a bit down the stretch and end up behind us, and
this would make that more likely.

The Jazz could certainly push a bit. They're under Sloan.

But any chance at that 6th seed is awesome to me.

I root for NO . they have a difficult schedule at the end of the season and they will lose ground.

Better keep the Jazz as low as possible.

Looks like you'll get your wish.

Win-win for us tonight, really.

We just need to put space between us and the teams beneath us now.

Hahahahah, yeah right. That was funny. That would mean we'd have to win games. Silly me.

Hey, if Odom goes on another 2 game rampage, it's possible.

Utah

I was happy with the result. We have some games upcoming against NO that we can catch up with them.

It is way more important that we distance ourselves from Utah and Sacramento. Sacto - we still have 2 more games to really sink them. Utah those 2 games without Kobe could really hurt us which is why I rather them falter.

The way the west is shaping up though - .500 record could get you in the playoffs.

That being said - I think the Lakers need to win 44 games to really assure themselves of a playoff spot.

Utah, i don't really see the Lakers climbing up the 8th spot that's why I think Utah should lose.

obviously we need utah to lose. 2 and 1 games is a big difference. who cares about NO, if we catch them so be it. but it's more important to stay ahead of the other teams

Seriously a good question. I wish both teams could lose . I think the game between them should be sort of boring on Nba tv . We should of been ahead of the Hornets. We really should of been like the 6th seed or somewhere near. Road trip with Mihm and Lamar injured hurt more than it seems. Just gotta have a good home stand for the next games. Last years finals contestants Det. and San Antonio coming into town like in 4 games.
