LA Country banned fireworks, so looks like Lancaster will be the only place which has them. I wouldn’t have gone anyway.

I’ll watch NBC’s fireworks show, I guess.

Yeah, but I’m pretty sure it’s always been illegal to set off your own fireworks...

I'll be making a video of me (and my 24 friends), inside a small garage, with the door closed, singing and dancing...to the sounds of Right Said Fred, Jordy, and Xuxa.

I plan to become one of those TikTok tw @ +$...uploading ridiculous videos about how I'm not afraid to get infected by Covid.

Covid is a fake news hoax.

Two - the Mrs. and me. It'll last us until Monday night. Pre-lockdown, it would've been 8 packs of hot dogs, 8 packs of links, 6 slabs of ribs and 6 packs of chicken wings - again, just for the Mrs. & me .

Seriously, in the past we'd have 15-20 folks over, plus enough for our (grown) kids to tote home, but this is our new normal.

Why do you need both hot dogs and hot links? What are you going to have for sides?

This is part of my ritual. (4ht of July by Dave Alvin.)

Dave and his compatriot Chris Gaffney played a few times for my buddy's birthday in his back yard in HB. His birthday is 4th of July.

What? Depending on the city you live in, it may be illegal. But some cities allow it. As long as they are the legal/safe and sane ones.

Illegal in Santa Clarita, but you’re right that it depends on the city apparently.

My complex is COVID free. We plan a BBQ around the pool. Masks and social distancing is very much on the minds of the complex occupants.

I'll do some Q in my oven and put it on the table spread. Several Q receipts will be on display. Of course my will be most tasty.

Even though none have symptoms, kids will be a problem. In the pool they most likely will come withing the six foot prescribed distance. Hopefully no one is asymptomatic and we'll come through COVID free. ENJOY!!

Do they have a 4th of July in England?

Yes, but they don't celebrate it.

I would suggest you avoid that gathering and eat whatever the (bleep) Q is by yourself.

Happy Independence Day, all. This country has many problems, but I'm still happy to be a citizen of it (since 2000 or so).

I did. Kept my door open, screen locked and savored the BBQ aroma. LINK
