Yup. When you have such young players like Zion/BI/Zo, it's going to take a few years.

Lakers got a completed package in AD to compete now. We are just terrible at developing young players sadly.


I disagree. LAL didn't optimize their abilities. Pels have the space to do that.


I think we're agreeing that the LAL don't optimize abilities. But I don't think Zo/BI are ready to win championships right now or next season either. But they could have been developed better.


To me they are two separate things. One is skill enhancement. The other is proper utilization/environment of those skills.

All of those guys showed improvement one way or the other prior to the trade.

They need to change Gentry and move Jrue Holiday for a quality center or a better point guard.

There's a reason AD never won with Jrue and it's just that he's not good enough.

Too many bonehead plays which goes back to the argument about coaching.

If Popovich had this team, they'd be a dark horse in the playoffs this season.
