What a scam. NBA couldnt give the Lakers the championship, MVP (LeBron), DPOY (AD) and this award all to one franchise.
Frank trades away a 1st pick and Harkless (could have used him so hard) for Morris... Pelinka waits and works behind scenes... gets the better Morris for 2 mill.
Also Frank mortgaged the entire future for a failure year lmao.

| Whoever is voting on these awards needs to take there voting privileges away, just pathetic if you aren’t gonna give it to Rob Pelinka, at least give it someone who made a huge jump like the Miami Heat for example. |

When was the vote held? It must be have pre-Bubble. In the 49 years of its existence, the Lakers have won 10 (+1 hopefully) championships but only have won this award once. Phoenix has won it 5 times and has 0 championships. Banners in Staples have more significance. Of course, he probably won it because he led the Clippers to finally best their heated rival the Lakers.

| The good old "Lakers tax" is still happening and will continue, which means the Lakers are back on top of the league. The league and media bias/hate against the Lakers will always be there. FYI certified Laker haters like Chris Mannix, Bill Simmons, Zach Lowe, Stephen A., Jackie MacMullan, etc. types are the ones who are voting on the NBA awards even though they are so open for their hate towards the Lakers, while Clippers organization are sending gifts and jerseys to butter up media folks. So, no surprise Clippers winning awards they shouldn't like 6th Man Of The Year, Executive Of The Year, and Patrick freaking Beverley makes an All-Defensive team while LeBron doesn't and were all hyped up by media folks as the best team in the league even though Lakers were the number one seed all season. All this confirms is that the Lakers run the league and rest of the league is going to continue to be mad and cry about it. Like the league would rather have the Warriors, Celtics, Clippers, or any other team win 10 straight titles than the Lakers win just one single title. |

| On paper the Clippers look like they made better moves in the offseason. But we know in sports, we have intagibles like team chemistry. Lakers look like they picked up players that other teams have cast off or were one step from exiting the league. We know that the Lakers players especially the off season acquisitions were more hungry and disciplined and this is why they are one game victory from a championship. |

This is just like giving Giannis MVP. It's another way of saying: here's the consolation prize for you losers. It's a loser's award. Only Finals MVP and Championship count because that is the ultimate prize in any sport competition.
