.....then when they lose, its all about who didn't play. Really.....

That's when your depth is suppose come into play! That's what depth is suppose to be about! Next man up! That's been the Lakers mantra all season! The Lakers lost Avery Bradly.... Next man up. Rondo got hurt....next man up!

Now everybody on TV want to make excuses for the Clippers? OK well....

Were Trez and Lou there in March......who won?

The Lakers have had a double digit lead in all 4 games this season, yet, the narrative that the media keeps pushing is "The Clippers are so much better than the Lakers".

The first 2 games, even with Lou and Trez, we were not able to finish the job. The last 2 games..... we did!

And realistically, The Lakers didn't really need last nights game. They pretty much have the west locked up. The Clippers needed this game. With this loss, The Nuggets are only 1 game behind them.

What it do babbbyyyyyy. LeBron has sent a message to Kawhi and PG that they will not get anything easy in the 4th. In March, Doc benched Lou during the fourth quarter because of his atrocious defense, which a trip to magic city didn't fix. AD is getting progressively better against the Clippers every time he faces them. When Harrell faces AD again, AD is gonna torch him.

No Avery Bradley, starting PG, and Mr. Pat Beverly mouth shutter.

No Rajon Rondo, backup PG, and Mr. Playoff Mode, so Playoff Mode that he took himself out of the meaningless seeding games so he can return by the Playoffs in full Mode.

So there.

Clippers can clip my toe nails, then suck my toes.

Stephen A actually said that if Montrez was there, maybe AD doesn't have the type of game that he did.....as if AD didn't drop 30 on Trez in the last meeting.

Just don't go too far. The Clippers will give you the clap.

It's good to win, but I'm not getting worked up analyzing what it means.

If history has told us anything, it's told us that regular reason games in late July and early August are not predictive of what will happen in the playoffs.

They are still deeper but a few caveats:

1) They have no answer for aggressive 30+ ppg AD
2) Kuzma playing like a top wing defender closes the “roster gap” immensely
3) Caruso playing a bigger role closes the gap
4) Dion being effective and generating offense in those non-Lebron minutes closes the gap

The clippers on paper still have the better roster, but the games aren’t played on paper and so long as the Lakers 2 stars collectively outperform the clippers top 2 stars, the Lakers have closed the gap enough (with aforementioned 4 caveats) to win a playoff series matchup.

Even with a terrible shooting night, it’s clear LeBron was the best player on the court. He bends the pace of game to his will. Kawhi can’t do that. PG13 can’t do that. Only a handful of people in NBA history could do that. Magic, Jordan, LeBron, possibly Luka in the future.

The Lakers just happen to be deep as well.

Yesterday Lakers won with LeBron playing bad most of the game. On the other hand Kawhi and PG played quite well. Sweet Lou played 2 bad games in Christmas and in March. If Lou had played some of the shoots made by Kawhi and PG would have been made by Lou.

LBJ has definitely sent a message late in 4th quarters in last 2 matchups. This is his shot to cement his place and shut the haters up.

To take another shot on the “Great” Clippers and there 2 Superstar “LEADERS”

We all know Kawhi is not the most buddy, buddy vocal leader but imagine Lou Will was on this current Lakers squad.

Do you think Lebron and AD would let him leave the bubble to hit up a strip club to get chicken wings?!?!

A deep roster doesn’t mean squat if you can’t come together collectively. An it starts with your two leaders leading the example.

Meanwhile Kawhi is off being a introvert alien and Paul looks like he only hangs out with his BFF Reggie Jackson going fishing.

Lol we got down by double digits in the 2nd half and still won. We dominate them in the half court game. Playoff ball definitely favors us. We have 2 of the top 5 players. What we saw last night was a team that will win it all. Espn knows it.

Stephen A is a clown like almost all the media. They are there for entertainment, not for doing serious analysis. It was obvious this was going to happen, unless we had won by 20 they were going to say that we have problems because of those 2 guys. The facts are than in the previous 2 games those 2 guys did the following:

Harrel: Both great in the offensive side but he couldn't stop AD. I guess yesterday he could have performed well but he didn't show in the previous games that he could stop AD.

Lou Williams: Awful, just awful. 6 points in Christmas, 1/7 FGs, 0/1 from 3. In March 7 points, 3/11 FGs, 1/3 from 3.

The key yesterday was that when they got the 11 points lead we started hitting 3s. Harrel could have been great, I agree but he is not in the bubble yet, we don't even know when he will come. When he returns he will probably have lost 1 month of training with his team. And Lou I would say that it would have been better for us if he had played.

Not going to lie though. Kawhi and PG13 are going to be a handful in the playoffs. We really need Kuz/Waiters to step up as a consistent 3rd option scoring threat.

I do look forward to matchup hunting Lou. Play him at your own expense Clips.

Last night

- Clippers shot 44% from 3
- Lakers shot 39% from the FIELD
- LeBron & AD were 14/38 for 50 points
- Kawhi & PG were 18/33 for 58 points
- Kawhi was a +16
- AD was a -3
- LeBron was a -4

And the Lakers still WON

This is why I’m not worried about the Lou/Harrell argument.

Say Lou and Harrell play, there is no chance the Clippers hold the Lakers to 103 points. Can’t have it both ways where you add offense but ignore the defensive liability.

Also, how often is PG going to play as well as he did last night? It’s also pretty much guaranteed Lou will take away some of the shots PG/Kawhi took last night.

It’s like these arguments are made in a vacuum to fit the narratives. Both teams have various variables at play.

It’s not as simple as “Lou and Harrell will make up the 2 points” silly argument.

This is true. They have a lot of big personalities but none of them have leadership characteristics.

Lakers genuinely look like they love and support each other, and like playing together.

Clips? Nothing on the chemistry end. Just a bunch of guys thrown together.

I really wanted PG13 to join us with LBJ.

Imagine a trio of LBJ/AD/PG13? Man. I think he would have fit in so nicely. But yeah, he's our enemy for sure.
