Just saw the Nuggets result. Porter Jr. another 30 pt game! And 132 on the board for a win. Without their 3 backcourt starters. Impressive!

Blazers/Rockets/Clippers/Bucks.

The media will have to completely STFU if the Lakers make it through that gauntlet. This Blazers roster is really the 4th best team in the West and the Rockets are really the 3rd best team in the West.

yeah that's about as brutal as it gets

although idk -- still not sure whom I'd rather play between the bucks and raptors

Raptors feel very beatable without Kawhi.

I'm watching them now, we can't match up with Van Vleet and Lowry. One but not both. And if we stick AD on Siam I don't think that Howard/McGee can handle Gasol/Serge. It would be a good tournament final series.

Nuggets actually have a chance of stealing #2 from the Clippers.

Come on Griz? Hang in there!!! I don't want Portland. Not that we can't beat them but it would take so much out of us.

OKC has 2 Tough games where as Rockets have 1. we must beat Rockets and hope that OKC beat Miami Or Clippers. Miami might be their best chance as Clippers will play hard to send OKC to 6th seed.

It seems like Portland will move to 8th seed and 9th will be between grizz/pelicans/spurs/suns. If pels want 9th seed they can easily get it as their schedule is very easy.

Who ever gets the #2 seed is going to have a tough row to hoe. Mavericks and Rockets are tough outs.

We need the Grizz to succeed.

1. it takes the Celtics out of the lottery as they own that pick.
2. A depleted Grizz team is a good 1st round opponent for the team.

The problem is that the Griz can’t win a game.

I really don’t want the Blazers or Pelicans in the first round. Lilliard is a killer and Ingram has something to prove against his former team... Plus Zion.

Eh. I think we win both in a sweep or gentleman's sweep. I think Blazers can steal 1 game better than the Pels but Ariza isn't there either which takes away a LBJ defender (unless you think Melo will do that ).

Last time AD played the Blazers, it was a sweep. He was dominant. And you add LBJ to that? SHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTT.

Three huge games tonight that can determine a lot.

Lakers vs Rockets, Clippers vs Dallas, Portland vs Denver.

A Denver, Lakers, Dallas sweep here is most ideal. Would keep Rockets 6, Move Clippers to 3rd, and keep give other teams a shot to shove Portland away from 8/9.

Even if the Griz win some games, there's no way they're beating Portland in the play-in tournament.

Minus Nurkic and Collins who are back. They have the ability to push AD out of the paint. But as you posted, they will struggle with Lebron.

Yeah I think the Grizz are done but there’s also a good chance that Portland ends up 8 and some other team like Spurs, Pels, Suns that can end up 9 or vice-versa. The question is whether any of those three teams can beat the Blazers in a play in.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. I'd rather play the Spurs or the Suns

Gonna be darkly funny if we get the teams we want in the order we want but some random upset occurs like Booker having a Kobe moment or two.

Trailblazers were the 3rd seed; Pels the 6th seed.

Nurkic and Collins both played in that series against AD.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/playoffs/2018-nba-western-conference-first-round-pelicans-vs-trail-blazers.html

AD put up 33/12 rpg, 2.8bpg and 1.8spg.

AD shot 38 FTs; the entire Trailblazers team shot 49 total FTs in the series.

Simply put, AD was dominant. And now add LBJ to that.

If Blazers get to 8th seed, then they will win the play-in for sure as the 9th seed must win both the games in Play in to move to playoffs.
