For some reason i felt that.
I just feel almost anyone can make noise in these playoffs, especially these healthy western conference teams. Things just look different in that bubble.
It’s a different dynamic. Plenty of rest removes the marathon grind of the regular season...everyone is fresh.
No crowds, travel or home court changes things too.
The scout stated the obvious: if the Lakers can’t hit 3s or defend them then they will be out quick. So far, these have been the problem areas for the Lakers in the bubble.
We've had two bubble tournaments so far: NWSL and MLS. Yes, different sports, different format. But the result was that many of the favorites fell flat. The Houston Dash has never made the NWSL playoffs, but won the tournament. Orlando has never made the MLS playoffs, but is in the finals of the tournament.
So yes, there is reason to believe that we could get an unexpected result in the the bubble, even though the playoffs will not be single elimination like the soccer leagues. If one of the favorites comes out flat, there won't be a home crowd to pump them up. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved
