The thing I wonder though...If our team really wanted to end the season, will they just be "checked out" the remainder of the playoffs?

The meeting went late last night and resumed early this morning. We don’t know yet what was discussed or agreed to.

Either way after the next game he will definitely be "gone fishing."

Good for Dame. The size of his kid’s head

Spears said this is the happiest he has seen Dame in a while.

Also families are allowed in Monday, which should alleviate some stress for the players.

COOLER HEADS PREVAILED IN MORNING

Players are PEOPLE so a lot of what happened last night was raw emotion.

Per Haynes
Yahoo Sources: There was a change in position from last night with LeBron James, among others, relaying it was in their best interest to finish out the season.

https://twitter.com/chrisbhaynes/status/1299015806370578432?s=21

Per Tania G
The Lakers players met as a group a couple of times since last night’s meeting, including this morning before they went into the group meeting with the rest of the teams.

https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/1299016340393660416?s=21

Per Shams
Sources: Players today discussed the sacrifices all of them have made to reach this point in the postseason, and sense of normalcy returning with families entering Disney Campus. Players who voted not to play on Wednesday night understood.

MORE MEETINGS

Per Woj

There is a meeting of NBA owners and players set for later today, sources tell @MarcJSpears and me. The discussion is expected to include plans of action moving forward on social justice issues.

From a basketball standpoint this is great for Luka and KP who will hopefully be feeling a lot better for game 6.

Westbrook, Pat Bev, And AD also benefit from this small delay.
