Wow. Thought he would just be quarantined. Did they kick him out?
Still confused— why was the COVID tester not allowed in the bubble? Or is she someone from outside the bubble, and it just happens to be her occupation? (In that case, why is it relevant?)
And why is she having contact with multiple NBA players? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

I’m still confused about why he felt the need to have a private COVID test in his room. Doesn’t the NBA test players on a daily basis anyway?
Maybe he just wanted additional confirmation that he was COVID-free for peace of mind, but it clearly wasn’t worth the risk of being caught and dismissed from the bubble.
I’m also unsure why the test would take that long. My understanding is that it takes less than a minute. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

If she was in his room "testing" him for several hours, obviously she had to set up her qPCR instrument and ran the PCR right in his room and analyzed the data. I'm sure she was quite thorough in handling any saliva....
One of the dumbest cover stories ever. Even if he had some reason to distrust the NBA testing, he could have easily gotten one of the health care professionals in the bubble to do a swab or collect saliva and then directed them to send the sample(s) to the lab(s) of his choosing for confirmatory test results. I'm guessing he's got an SO outside of the bubble, so this is his weak attempt at covering his rear over his infidelity.
Sad that sort of brain power won't be helping his team do dumb things in crunch time on the court.

Hope he gets banished to the Lakers next season, learns his lesson, and because a success story. He can play with Caruso once again as well. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant

If everything is true, I feel awful for his wife. How humiliating.
I'll give him his due process with regards to adultery. That aside, what he clearly did to his team is egregious.
smdh. These guys don't learn from Kobe's mistakes.
Hey, you made your bed, you lie in it. He'll feel the pain when he finds out how much he has to pay each month to his ex. _________________ Lakers. Built different.

Jokes on him if he never get another contract again. Not only he let his whole team when they needed him the most, he also have moral obligation personally to his wife and his kids. These guys should do the thirty before 30 before deciding to settle down. Hard to resist beautiful women sometimes (especially if you connected).

I think the NBA went too far in detailing what happened. It was enough to say he was out. No need to describe what happened. That’s none of our business and as you note, embarrassing for his family and for him.

It's a double edged sword. If the NBA didn't detail what happened all the fans would be going:
"Where's the evidence?" "They have no evidence!" "OMG RIGGED" "FREE HOUSE" "HE DID NOTHING WRONG"

Yeah you are right. Maybe if the NBAPA and the Rox joined the statement that would quell the noise somewhat. I still feel bad for him and his family. Stupidity is not a crime even if it deserved punishment here.
