I don't see a whole lot minutes for them next round either. The Clips aren't what I would call a big team and play a lot of 5 out basketball. |
They play Zu a lot. _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

LAKERS WIN! 119-96

Beautiful close out game thats how its done.
Now onward up that mountain to the next challenge. |

GS small ball was team orientated defense and a mid range game. They were near the top in defense most years. If you're going to play small ball you need both of those elements, defense, and a mid range game. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Before this series started there was a compilation video of all the talking heads at fox/espn saying the Rockets would win this series. Lakers were basically the underdogs this series. People keep doubting them and Lakers keep proving them wrong. |

Not such a close game when they don't get 20 more free throws from flopping. |

Kind of bummed out that Westbrook didn’t shake hands.

That's there only center though. AD can defend him with ease and after that the Clips go small everytime he is on the bench.

January 2020- Our first meeting with Houston in Houston , they still had Clint Capella and they were beating us pretty bad in the first half. We didn’t have AD and Rondo that game, and The Harden/Capella pick and roll was destroying us. Westbrook was pretty efficient as well.
Second half we come back and pick them apart. Lebron, Kuz, KCP, and Danny went off.
February 2020- Our second meeting with Houston in Los Angeles. Clint Capella Traded Away in a three team trade for Robert Covington. The beginning of their small ball era..
Westbrook goes for 41 and destroys us giving me flashbacks of his OKC days destroying Ronnie Price, Kendall Marshall, Rookie Jordan Clarkson ext.
Harden with 15, same with Gordon. Lebron and AD just having one of those mid season lapses.
Fast forward to the NBA Bubble
August 2020- No Lebron , No Westbrook.
Lakers playing really bad basketball the first 10-15 games of the bubble. Harden goes for 39 and Ben Mclemore goes for 20. We lose by 16.
Fair to say not many of us thought the Lakers would handle the Rockets this easily. Especially after dropping game 1.
A lot of posters here doubted the Lakers could “flip the switch” after our abysmal re-start in the bubble.
The Lakers clearly answered.

Good point. Also helps to have probably one of the best number two scorers and future hall of famer Klay, who doesnt need ball in his hands on offense (superb 3) and is a tremendous defender. Harden, westbrook, cp3 all need the ball. |
