This guy Never learned how to play ball. NEVER! He is nothing but a kid who bullied smaller peers in high school. He cant even hit rim on layups and he just learned how to dunk the ball again over a month ago.
He really does suck. _________________ “YO JEANIE, WHATS UP MY BIIIAAACCCHH!” – COCA JAMES ON 1540AM THE TICKET LAKERS ROUNDTABLE - 03/02/06

The guy has the worst hands I've ever seen. He also doesn't really have many low post moves. He also has no touch by the rim and he can't finish at all. We traded Caron Butler for him? I was skeptical about the trade from the beginning, but I was willing to give Kwame a chance. I've seen enough. He's a HUGE disappointment. I can see why the Wizards wanted to get rid of him. |

I say we give him 2 more years and see what happens. I still believe its too early to give up on him. He shows flashes of what appears to be basketball, but quickly fades away. If he can be more consistent I think we have a better chance of knowing what do with him. |

Yes he has been a bust, but the kid is an awesome physical specimen. Once this kids gets some coaching he will be really good or maybe great. He just needs time. But the question at hand is do we have time to train him?
But either way if the kid went to collage for 4 years he would be 4 times the player he is now. |

It would be nice to believe that he could be included in the list of Lakers who are developing as a young team with the direction of Phil and Kobe. Let's look at this teams somewhat bright future...
Turiaf
Cook
Bynum
Sasha
Smush
Kwame ???
Green (imo jury's still out)
These guys are all still kids with the vets not much older. Yeah, I'm very frustrated and disappointed that we're not winning more games but as a fan of this team for over 30 years I gotta hold onto hope that we're going to contend again in the next few years. _________________ Not a legend |

Catch. Drop step. Dunk.
That's all Kwame needs to be thinking every time he touches the ball. |

I think my favorite was when someone started a thread, "can Kwame average 20 and 10" after he scored like 19 points in a preseason game. |

Kwame will never be good offensively since he has terrible hands. I don't know why they keep forcing him the ball... _________________ "My thirst for domination is fed only by the game. I refuse to get distracted by outside forces." - Kobe Bryant |

What can you do about it, really?
It is what it is.
I try not to focus on Kwame's offense at all. He is a 2 year project for this team. |

Take a look at Chris Taft. He is a what Kwame would be like in college.
If Kwame had gone to college, he would have been exposed for all his faults and weaknesses and fallen out of the lottery and maybe the 1st round.
That's why I'm not a fan of this highchool rule. It has killed chances for players like Kwame and other projects to make big money. They go to college and their value will drop.
If you are 18 and the NBA GM's are willing to draft you - then the NBA shouldn't have stopped that. It is their right as an adult ... |

This was not intended in any way to be a lineup. This is a list of players that are developing in the Lakers system and my point is that there is potentially some very good talent there. As I said, they are all kids and I'm looking down the road a few years. I'm sure that as on any club there will be changes made to our starting vets. _________________ Not a legend |

And it's just about ruined Kwame psychologically since he's been in the L. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

A couple of other WORSTS for Kwame:
Worst #1 draft pick in the history of the L.
A principle in one of the worst laker trades in history (giving up Caron Butler).
I'm feeling more and more like this trade is going to lead to the dismissal of Kupchak at season's end. Somebody has to take the fall for this mess. _________________ Jerry Buss made the Lakers into the crown jewel of the NBA. |

Look out Jon Koncak........... Your legacy is at stake. Loose Cannons may have to change their award for the worst performance by an NBA player to the "Kwame Brown" award. Sad to say, but he's kind of earned it. |

Yup. Just as frustrated as everyone.
I think the laker front office should change their mentality. Instead of picking up guys tagged with "potential" (I even put Lamar Odom in this category), they should start trying to invest more on sure things.
We are WASTING away Kobe'sprime.
If ever we have the chance to get Garnett or big time free agent, the management should go all-in with any player not named Kobe. They should be willing to give away any asset, including Bynum, Cook, Mihm, George and any laker who has given us very little frustration this year. If Jimmy Buss destroys a trade involving Bynum for a Garnett, I will renounce this franchise until the Buss's leave the purple and gold. Kobe is too good of a player to be wasting away his efforts alongside scrubs. |

Kupchak should be fired. The Buss's should run out of town.
I suggest we boo Mitch, Jerry and Jimmy everytime they show their faces on the Staples big screen.
I was very skeptical about Kwame, but believed that the front office did their research about Brown when they decided to trade for him.
If the lakers throw up another stinker, laker fans should start "Fire Kupchak!" chants. |

Yeah, but one thing to keep in mind about Kwame, Mitch was able to "lure' him away from Washington. |

Sadly, I agree with this statement. In all honesty, Kwame sucks soooo bad. Turiaf on the other hand is a breathe of fresh air. He plays with so much heart. I love it. We need to dump Kwame now, and free up the cap space. |
