Yeah I agree - pio2u has been doing this all season and all throughout the playoffs, why not give him the honors of making the game thread for what could likely be our first title in 10 years?

well he has to be faster, its the NBA Finals, why is there no game 5 thread 1 day before the game....should be there since wednesday.

Time to finish the job.

I'm probably gonna cry like a baby when we win. This year has been a (bleep) travesty on all levels. I need this one. Lakers fans need this.

We've got the header on both P.2 and P.3 with all the stats, time, history, everything we've grown accustomed to seeing all season, all's good.

for teams that are up 3-1 in a 7 game series, game 5 is the easiest one to win (except the Clippers ). the other team probably is already looking ahead to the long awaited vacation and exiting the bubble, Lakers should do their a favor and squash their hope early. i truly believe if Lakers open up a double digit lead in the 1st half, the game will be over.

A great wrong in the universe could be righted soon. The Lakers were the NBA's original dynasty at the dawn of basketball. But then a great evil came upon us. From 1957 to 1969, the Boston Celtics reeled off 11 NBA titles in a 13 year span. Seven of those titles were at the LA Lakers' expense. The only non-Celtic team to win a title in the 1960's was Wilt Chamberlain's Philadelphia '76ers in 1967. By 1976, the Celtics had 13 titles, and this was before Larry Bird even entered the NBA.

Bird got them another 3. And lost a title war with Magic.

For the last 24 years the Celtics have enjoyed being sole NBA title king while winning only 1 more title. Doc Buss had a dream when he bought the Lakers. Since then, the Lakers have had Magic/Kareem/James with Showtime, Kobe/Shaq, Kobe/Pau, and after 10 years of futility it's time for LeBron and AD to make history. We have a chance tonight to match the Celtics in NBA titles for the first time in 59 years.

Yeah, it's a big game.

GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally getting #17 is going to be great. It will give the 2019-20 Lakers a spot in Laker lore near or top of the accomplishment list. I was hoping we'd get #17 by beating the Celtics. That would have made it #1 on the list.

If we get #18 with LeBron the team leader he'll be in conversations about Lakers greats. This team brought us back. Bron was the reason for the season.

Tonight's game will be bittersweet. We'll get #17 but the season will be over. With that said I'm gonna miss SOME Lakers posters.

Thanks and props to DancingBarry, emplay, LarryCoon for so much information, and keeping the site up and running. And to my peeps pio2u for game thread information posts. Gonna miss y'all.

LET'S GET IT DONE!

Miami @ L.A. Lakers Marc Davis (#8) Kane Fitzgerald (#5) Eric Lewis (#42)

We best get more than 3 free throw attempts in the first half tonight, enough is enough. Go Mighty Lakers!
