The worst aspect of the current Laker misfortunes to me is to watch perennial losers like Elton Brand and Paul Pierce getting the chance to posture and trash talk and flex their muscles while parading around the Staples Center floor.

Who's next? Baron Davis and Ruben Patterson?

I wish the Lakers showed more heart out there, or at least had somebody to knock showboats to the floor while they're out there grabbing their crotch to show that they're the man.

When you talk about having a team to build around Kobe, before you even talk about basketball talent, you should look for people who hate to lose as much as he does. The rest could take care of itself.

Good post. I get sick when I see such behavior from opposing players. Granted both Elton Brand and Paul Peirce are terrific players and showing emotion is not a bad thing, but you are absolutely right when you say that someone on the Lakers needs to put them on their arss when they gloat.

Paul Pierce has been the subject of trade rumors for the past 3 seasons in Boston, and he is from L.A., yet last night he leaves the court holding up the Boston lettering on his chest? I change my mind, I never want to see him in the P&G.

Brand and Pierce have long been outstanding players (since high school). If you want to get angry at someone posturing, go find a scrub to get angry about.
