This team has 3 dogs, 1 pterodactyl and 1 GOAT:
Lebron
Schroder
Harrell
AD
Caruso | yessir |
Kuzma starting to learn doggy style... going after them balls hard |

How can people complain about either one of these guys?
If Kieff could hit some shots, Matthews contribute something and KCP hit a shot or two more, we will be in every single game, even without Davis.
I hope Dennis gets locked up long term.

Great take ! I do not think its a coincidence that the dog in AC returned last night. |

We need to play a more up-tempo, free-flowing game and take the reins off Dennis, even when AD is healthy. Let him push the ball every time, and if we don't have anything, we can look to screen-roll with Dennis and a big.
We don't seem to do well when we just give the ball to AD or LeBron and stand around watching whoever has it. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

The off the bench is not because of DS value, its because he needed to be aggressive. He's more aggressive when he's the 2nd option at least, he became tentative when he is with AD and Bron on the court.
As we are saying, he can still remain aggressive even as a starter if the team will let him be aggressive at the start instead of looking for AD in the post. |

Last 6 games of Schroder
4 games without AD 21 ppg (4-0)
2 games with AD 5 ppg (1-1)

Vogel need to figure this out, maybe when Bron sits (hopefully more during reg season games), we can speed the tempo by a lot and let Schroeder attack, AD will always get his |

Halftime and Dennis is a team leading +33. How is that even possible? This team has a different swagger with him out there. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

That was his best start to any game all season.
He was doing excellent stuff out there. Taking the screens and dribbling to the basket, getting teammates involved. And saw Trez and him go consecutive games where there was some screen & roll game going on.
When we get this Dennis we are gonna be tough to beat. Key will be for him to find those spots of when to be aggressive when AD is back as well. |

100%. Looks like he's finally comfortable out there. He looked great next to Bron.
Man, he and Trez are earning every penny out there. _________________ KOBE |

They REALLY need to look to push the pace with the 2nd unit. Trez and Kuzma are excellent finishers on the break. With Denis pushing, we should be devastating against other benches. _________________ KOBE |

Shocking for some people that the Lakers look much better when they aren’t missing two of their top three guys. DS showing why his speed helps. |

I don’t get the urgency? Why sign him now versus in the off season? |

It's extension, at least no need to compete with other teams who wants to get him in free agency. |

Yes, that makes sense...but why no, meaning in March? It seems like folks here think it should happen this month. Is that what folks are hearing? |

I’m pretty sure both sides have a extension agreed upon and are waiting for whatever reason. |

Obviously as a free agent he could just leave the Lakers empty handed. Getting locked up now is good to relieve him of that pressure, and ensure he stays long-term or we have a good trade asset. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Yeah, like the benefit of getting Kuz an extension early on it would just be nice to not give other teams a chance to drive the price up and allow them to not worry about it either.
You lock him in now and not only is it one massively less thing Pelinka and the FO have to worry about in the upcoming off season but now they can gameplan what to do with the remaining upcoming free agents or who else they might want to pick up. So many unexpected things can happen for the good and bad so to have a few certainties locked in is always welcome especially when they're as important as someone like Dennis.
Even if he gets extended for 3-4 more years we have Trezz, THT, Caruso, Morris and the merry minimums to all still worry about as well. |
