Mini QFTOS Clippers Reddit. Honestly it's strange how this kind of s*** always happens to the Clippers.

Kawhi (bleep) them last season. They had the chemistry, they had young promising player, they had all their future draft picks and everything went to the toilet because Mr. Kawhi demanded to have PG in the team to sign.

I would describe the folks on Clippers Reddit as going through the 12 stages of grief. Most posts oscillate back and forth between being infuriated at him and convincing themselves they’re better off.

Didn't know the Clippers lost JaMychal Green too. He and Trez were part of the foundation of that team.

Analysis of Trez’s defense and other contributions on offense

I didn’t really watch him much, just knew people were down on him after that Nuggets series and that he wasn’t a floor spacer. I’m liking this signing a lot more now.

Trez can move his feet. Definitely should be able to rotate on team D in Vogel's rotations. Key will be not leave him out to dry, and we are likely a team that would send a lot of help to him if he needed it in the post.

I think he's a really good small ball center defender who can move his feet well. We still need to find a replacement for Dwight IMO. Jokic was a difference maker in their defeat of the Clippers and Dwight was our difference maker in keeping him contained.

Shocked about the signing after a lot of guys were getting severely overpaid. Not exactly the type of player I wish but nonetheless, good regular season pickup. Hopefully him and Schröder can go buy into our identity which is defense and take a leap there like Kuz did. Seeing Harkless and Dunn signing that cheap, I am hopeful we can retain Bradley at least. But overall I like what Trez bring, he has the physical tools and AD to erase his shortcomings.

In sum - we basically got a bully ball type small ball center that will have major impact vs the majority of other teams out there.

He fits

EDIT: We like to bully

It’s funny how a series can change perceptions of a player (and lose them money). Montrezl Harrell is a good defensive player. He fights hard, does great in all the hustle stats, takes charges, boards, blocks shots. He’s not a good matchup against certain types of players, but it’s a bit like knocking Avery Bradley for not being able to guard big wings. As long as we aren’t asking him to do something he can’t do (or relying on him to do it) we are good to go.

You’re forgetting they brought back Patrick Patterson.

Vogel >>>>> Doc in any 7 game series

Trez will not be left on an island to be killed like he was by Doc.

Look at all of our series, Vogel makes the proper adjustments.

Vogel will get the best out of Trez defensively.

Defense is about effort and I am 100% confident that Trez will work, dude has a motor.

Thanks, that video brings context to what Trez's contributions can be. He is really a rare type of player, one who doesn't need plays called for them to score. Basically, we got a bigger Cedric Ceballos, a bucket getter without having to run plays for him, that is big. I also really love guys who box out and do the little things that help teams win. Massive get.

What are the odds we can teach Trez too shoot the 3 at a respectable clip? Not Steph level... But something the opposition has to at least recognize.

I don't really like the comparison to Faried.

Trez has a more well rounded offensive game compared to the Manimal.

For those that want to talk about Harrell’s height: Harrell has a 7’5 wingspan and 9’1 standing reach.

This game ain’t played with your neck.

The thing people knock Harrell for is two things

1) He can't guard Jokic
2) he was a clipper

Well AD even struggled to defend Jokic, so I don't know what Harrell was supposed to do aside from turn into Ben Wallace. Even then his offensive game is better than Ben Wallace or Manimal.

Anyway, he *was* a clipper, he left them to become a Laker, thats what matters.

Anyway he's a solid hustle guy, he is a GOOD defender, and he's the kind of player that fans will love having on their team but hate having to play against. The Lakers have him now, he didn't get 6th man of the year for no reason.
