Not to be outdone, Geritol has just been added. The official drink sponsorship goes to Ensure.

That new training staff better be from Phoenix, they are going to be busy.

With that all said, I'm looking forward to the season, it eerily reminds me of the time when John Salley, Ron Harper and AC Green signed up in '99.

TBF the only guy signed thus far who is kinda playing old is Ariza. Big guys like Dwight who are on track for the HoF have generally been pretty good at 35/36 especially when in shape and slimmed down as Dwight is.

Bazemore and Ellington both seem ancient given how long they've been around but are both in their late prime at ~32 and are good shooters. As long as we get a few young athletic types (hopefully THT is one) I think we'll be OK with the minutes spread around.

All the decent, younger free agents SO FAR have been signed beyond our price range - Alec Burks, Cam Payne, Reggie Bullock, Doug Mcdermott, Nerlens Noel, TJ McConnell and Olynyk.

All the remaining ones are either FA's that we never had a chance to sign to begin with(Robinson, Rose, Zo, HardawayJr, Portis etc) or just as old as the ones we've signed so far(Jeff Green, Mcgee) or ones I wouldn't bother signing.

Mo Harkless, Gorgui Dieng and Torey Craig are the only younger FAs that we could have signed but only if we used our MMLE on them.

Otto Porter reportedly turned down MMLE offers and took the vet min wanting to go specifically to Golden state.

Anyone thinking that we could get younger through free agency after we traded for Westbrook had the wrong expectation and probably didn't take
a good look at the free agent pool heading into this.

We could have stayed about as young as we did last season if we traded for Hield and kept 1 of Kuz or KCP instead. Hield(22M) + KCP(13) + Caruso(9) only amounts to 44M which is equal to Russ' 44M so that route may have allowed us to keep Caruso as well.

Maybe LeBron should take all these old guys to his PED lab in Miami so that they'll be faster and more athletic with a lower chance of getting injured.

You guys really love the age factor ... take a look at the 2013 Miami Heat team that beat the Spurs for the Championship. Sure LBJ was younger but Wade was 31 v Russ who is 32 and Bosh was 28 v AD who is 28. The 2 young guys, Chalmers contributed while Cole did spot duties.

LBJ - 28
Wade - 31
Bosh - 28
Allen - 37
Chalmers -26 >>> played 31 mpg in 7 games/7 games
Battier - 34
Mike Miller - 32
Chris Anderson -34
Norris Cole - 24 >>> played 16 mpg in 5 games/7 games
Haslem - 32
James Jones - 32
Rashard Lewis - 33
Joel Anthony - 30

The addition of Westbrook who is by far at his best in transition and then surrounding him with a bunch of older vets on the downside of their careers is certainly a choice. We'll see.

We should draw the line at Med Alert. If our players fall down, they need to get back up.

Has it crossed your mind that our guys could look as hapless as the Spurs next year, unless they get younger?
