I think the most *talented* Lakers team ever assembled was the 2012 and 2004 team.

Execution as well as how those seasons wound up, of course has them looked at differently.

But from a talent standpoint, without injuries.. you couldn't get much better than

Steve Nash
Kobe Bryant
Ron Artest
Pau Gasol
Dwight Howard

or
Gary Payton
Kobe Bryant
Rick Fox
Karl Malone
Shaquille O'Neal

Those starting lineups were probably the Lakers most stacked from a talent standpoint.

Or even some of the old 80s rosters that also had 5 Hall of Famers starting.

We're entering overrated territory if we don't stop the crazy

Nah we deserve the praise, this team has the makings of a historical great team, this isn’t like the Bucks who obviously got overrated from to much hype.

You just proved his point.

I think before people answer that question they should let us know how old they are. Same goes for GOAT conversations. It's better to say a team/player is the best "In your generation" if you're under 40.

I'm thinking anyone who picks Showtime or the West/Wilt teams are in the "get off my lawn" crowd like me.
