Interesting... but why not go for Las Vegas? Don't ya think they'd have a bigger fan base for LV as opposed to bringing the Kings (of all teams!!!) to compete for fans with the Lakers and Clippers?

How many professional sports team are in Vegas? I think the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL all want to keep their teams away from Vegas, there is a conflict of interest.

What good does it do for them if they come to SoCal? if they want a team in California they should go to SF or something.

The Clippers alone should motivate Buss to do something it doesn't matter.

Clippers probably have a much smaller piece of Orange county than they have in Los Angeles County- where they will always be second banana. Clippers are a local attraction limited to LA county. Lakers are probably the basketball team from Orange county to San Diego County. Buss has a lot more to lose- overall market wise if a basketball team moves into the Pond.

You guys have to realize that the Queens coming to SoCal would be the worst absolute slap in the face to all those Sactown fans. Why do you think they hate the Lakers so much in the first place? Cause they're from SoCal. NoCal people hate us SoCal people, so for their team to come to the south would be fantastic. The Clips should move back to San Diego though and Sterling should sell them.

I dont see them coming to LA ..... going to san jose makes more sense given the amount of wealth that exists in that region and the lack of professional sports (and that includes the warriors). The oakland A's keep talking about leaving the east bay for san jose. Go to LA? probably one of the most stupid moves in professional sports history

If Anaheim wants a team, they can adopt the Clippers who can play at the Pond and which will get them the hell out of our building! Kings to Socal? horrible idea...

are they just doing this to try to get the new arena deal? I remember seeing an article about the sonics wanting to move to anaheim b/c the owner doesn't want to pay for a new arena...

There was an ongoing dogfight between the Maloofs and the town, most of it centered around improving the facilities. This time it's quite different. The smart money says they'll move...

That's why Queens fans should be scared. It doesn't sound like a trump card at this point, but rather a well-thought out backup plan to Vegas. They really want to move to a venue where they have better facilities and superior demographics, which translates into far greater revenue than Sac. And since they'll drop the Vegas demand, Stern will give it his blessing.

Seriously. Whoever heard of a home court whose "fans" boo the home team? It'd be like the Lakers playing their home games in Sacramento.

That's the bottom line, corporate sponsors and lux boxes.

Where can they find more of those, Sac or Anaheim?

If the Kings moved down here, I would become a masked vigilante and endeavor to thwart their plans at every turn. The Maloofs would fear the night.
