According to Zach Lowe, KD is getting "extra", not "needed" rest. Considering that they're 15-2 with just him out of the lineup, it's a nice luxury of which the Nets medical staff is taking advantage.
I expect him to be healthy in the playoffs, and likely just as lethal as he was in GS. His spacing has only increased.
Obligatory (bleep) the Nets |

He’s not capable of going “full Olajuwon”. |

Ur a rox fan so it’s fair, how close was AD’s playoff performance last season to the Dream? |

It wasn’t. Worse numbers with less attention focused on him. You can’t truly make the comparison until he’s the primary focus of the defense. |

Good for them. They are stacking their team with solid underpaid superstars. The ultimate (bleep) will be to beat them so they can reassess what they lost all the way around. _________________ Mama, There Goes That Mamba. |

First round exit would even be more fun to watch from the outside. |

The interesting thing is Kawhi basically tried to do in LA what KD did in Brooklyn, but got rejected even by KD. |

Most are trying it these days. Besides Dame and the reigning MVP I guess. For now.... |

Hakeem's back to back titles were, for him personally, a magnificent feat. It was similar to how MJ separated himself from Drexler. They were the top SG in the NBA and it was joke when MJ was done with the Blazers. Hakeem didn't do it to just one dude. All his main rivals were in his way. He gave the business to David Robinson, Patrick Ewing then Shaq. LOL! AD ain't there yet man. |

Where do you put AD? How about against KG and Dirk? Dirk took down Kobe-Pau/KD-Russ-Harden-Ibaka/Bron-Wade-Bosh... still less or just about that level? (AD’s defense is on par with prime KG but he can score like Dirk) |

Swap Harden for Kyrie and the Nets would be up by 17 not down by same. Thanks Rockets for nothing. |

It's astounding how much losing follows Kyrie around when he's the #1 option. I mean, team after team. _________________ KOBE |

You could say the same thing about Curry. GS is 4 games below .500 right now. Neither Kyrie or Curry can carry a team to the playoffs as the only all star playing on the team. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Harden had to leave tonight after four minutes, again because of hamstring tightness. |

That's a bit unfair. With Steph on the floor, their net rating is 10th in the league. Without him, they're one of the worst teams ever, this year 30th at -8.9 net rating. |

Watching Kyrie operate with the basketball is definitely something special.
Guaranteed bucket pretty much every time.
Problem is on defense he’s a complete disaster.
Reggie Bullock looking like Kobe the way he’s lighting up Ky 5-8 from three and we’re at the start of the 2nd half
P.S Julius is a BEAST! |

It's hard watching clumsy Harris drive baseline and get layups. Why the (bleep) can't KCP do that a few times? |

They're missing Harden, KD, and DinWiddie, yet they still have an elite floor general who's dropping 40+ tonight. Pretty nuts |

I'm thinking you'd get a similar spread if Kyrie was the only star player on Brooklyn this year. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I blamed Brad Stevens for Boston falling apart with Kyrie. People kept telling me Kemba was an upgrade. And "watch what happens now that cancerous Kyrie isn't there". Well I'm watching. And laughing.
Love how Kyrie gives it to them everytime he runs into Boston too. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

If we get back to full strength and face the Nets in the Finals, it could be one of the greatest and most entertaining championship series of all time. Maybe seven games of fast-break basketball and multiple current and former All-Stars and HOFers. It would be a great treat for fans as we end the pandemic.
People are saying that we have issues because LeBron and AD are injured and may not have enough time to gel when they return. The same can be said about the Nets. Harden and Irving have been in and out of the lineup, and who knows why KD is still out after all this time? _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

Yeah, neither of those guys are superman type superstars that can single handedly take mediocre at best teams to the Playoffs imo. I'd much rather have Steph but even during his best years when the Warriors were wrecking teams he'd be able to routinely miss a decent amount of games or go through struggles without it ever meaning much because of the great depth he's had the majority of his career. People have been saying that about Curry for a long time, he's just that type of guy. That's not trying to say he's still not an all time great player though because he obviously is. |
