I'm having an arguement with a friend....I said I would give up Odom AND Bynum for Howard (obviously its not realistic, but I was showing how high his value would be and how he will be so good). Then he called me an idiot.....
Help me out here
Question is im not an idiot right?and ...isn't that a great trade for the Lakers....and a no brainer?

I'm baffled by the people saying that Masta is an idiot.
Dwight Howard
Now there's a real superstar bluechip.
He's already leading the league in rebounds as a 20 year old, and only getting better on offense.
Give me that over Odom and Bynum anyday. |

No, I don't think it's a good deal at all. We either trade Odom or Bynum for him, but not both in the same deal. _________________ I'm like a Hadouken, down-right Fierce! |

You should stop being a friend with him.
Anyone who thinks Dwight Howard is the next Slava needs to do the world a big favor and breathe in some triphosgene, smell the grass and ....
Never mind. |

I'd do it. Outside of Amare, who now has a knee injury to worry about, Howard looks like the most dominating young big man there is. Bosh is great, but on the skinny side. Howard has the defensive/rebounding side set and will develop his offensive game over the next few years. Pair him with Kobe and they are absolutely dominant maybe a year or two out.
If the Lakers are lucky, Bynum will someday be what Howard is today. |

I would do it and it has more to do with how much Odom has fallen off, then it is about anything else.
To me you are trading an average player (Odom) and a young center with good potential (Bynum) for a superstar PF in Howard. |

do it in a heart beat no question asked. Bynum is a project can go either way, but howard who was a project already is showing he is great |

dwight is a beast.. and will be for many years to come.
a player like him doesn't come out often at all.
this is his 2nd year in the nba and he's a 15 and 12 guy.. he'll be a 20 and 15 guy next year, probably.
do you really expect bynum to be anything close to that next year? no way. he came out of high school too, remember.
i would make that trade any day of the week ... also, odom's contract will force orlando to throw in players to match.
but obviously orlando isn't stupid like mitch, and they wouldn't trade away their future for garbage. |

I'd do it without a blink.
Bynum MIGHT become as good as Dwight Howard.
Howard is already clearly one of the best young bigs in the league (as
Socks mentioned, only Amare is better and who even knows about his
knee?).
LO hardly earns his money, and with him off the books we just would
have more room for another FA.
Anyone nixing that (fictional) deal is out of their mind. |

So if we didn't have that idiot and we had you instead, tell us what package you would put together to get Dwight Howard and why the Magic would do it? _________________ I'm like a Hadouken, down-right Fierce! |

Easily. Howard is only a year or two older than Bynum and is already leading the league in rebounding. The kid is not only going to be very good player. I'd do that trade in a heart beat. Anyone that wouldnt is tripping hard. |

Hey Mashta,
If I were you, I will not give up Andrew Bynum for Dwight Howard. Are you crazy to give the potential center like Andrew Bynum? Me, myself, I will give up Lamar Odom, Kwane Brown, Slava, and maybe draft pick. Never give up on Andrew Bynum ever!!!! He has so much talent in the whole nine yard. Don't get me wrong, I know Dwight Howard is a good ball player and I have seen him in the highlight of the college career and some highlight in the nba games. There are some people out there are no patience with Andrew and give this kid a break man!!! God!!! Let this kid play about three more years and you will regret what you see, if you traded this kid away. I believe in this kid Andrew Bynum in 100% in for the Lakers in the rest of his career. |
