We basically sleep walked through this game.
It seems like Vogel is insisting on putting out a feel you out lineup in game one, and players treated this game like a throw away game.
Lebron gave maybe like 50% effort at most.

And yet if we shot normal from FT and 3s, we probably would have won.

I don’t like this type of strategy of playing with fire, we almost got burnt against the Warriors in the one game series.

But we did indeed get lucky again, can’t see Chris being able to shoot normal with that arm for this series.
It would be a lot easier for us to play defense with Chris being unable to shoot normally.

And nothing from the Suns impressed me today, Aston basically scored all on momentum plays and David being half asleep. Booker played to his best.

The role players of Suns, none of them can create.
Dallas looks like a way better team at this point.

Lebron is a master of 4d chess, he knew this game was not in our momentum, so instead of wasting a lot of energy, he conserved himself to step on Phoenix next game.

Anyways we are really lucky that the first 2 rounds will be easy matchup for us. But Lebron and Vogel both know we have to turn it up like huge to win it all this year.

The WCF will be tough either Dallas or clippers or Jazz.

And Nets are really good.

No excuse IMO to get out worked in your first playoff game. We have been in chill mode all season, time to wake up!

His shoulder is fine.

Ankle is the only thing that might worry me.

But Lebron is a tank.
His health in the post season is least of my concern

Actually his health is the most of my concern. He clearly has no lift or quickness now. Generational talents can carry a team to a win when other players are struggling, can you really see that now? He was getting blocked on post ups, can’t even dunk on fast breaks

Lebron at this age needs to pick his timing and when to strike.

Instead of wasting all your energy to lose close in a game, might as well turn it up next game and get the W.

I remember the most masterful example of this was against Warriors in game 4, where Lebron baited Draymond into a tech.

And when Draymond went out, Lebron turned it up 100% and went crazy against the Warriors

There shouldn't be any "lets throw away this game so that we can learn everything about this team." that is already supposed to be covered in the film room before Game 1. They should have been watching and preparing for whatever schemes Phoenix is known for utilizing so that they can force them to do something else.

Just because we did it at the bubble doesn't mean it should be "the strat" or we're gonna wind up looking like that year the Mavs swept us when fans were all like "Oh don't worry...we're just figuring this out, we're gonna turn it up and win the next 4 games."

He is picking his spots or when to use his explosiveness.

He is definitely not gonna be able to go 100% all the time now.

But I don’t see us losing to an one arm CP3 Suns or Portland as long as Lebron can play

Yah it is dangerous, but Chris Paul injury give us a break.

That was more important than winning game 1.

Not saying I want him to get injuried, but it is going to work out in our favor and swing the momentum back to us as long as we take more advantages of it

Not saying we would lose, but I am just worried about his health now, that ankle is clearly bothering him now.

Yes if he is out, we are screwed, but let’s not jinx it.

Hopefully the first 2 rounds of easy matchup allow Lebron to get back to 100%

You can spin it anyway you want. But that was a disappointing effort by the Lakers.

Intensity and focus. Lakers had neither. Especially Davis and James.

They are the leaders of the team. The rest feed off them. Neither cared enough to show up for a playoff game?

We will see what they choose to do in Game 2. Be content with last year or prove something this one.

It is concerning if we didn’t prove we were able to win it all last year.

You hate to see half ass effort anytime as a fan.

But for teams to repeat, you have to pick your poise sometimes.

And with Chris Paul injury, we were really gifted this series.

Unless Vogel insistence to keep playing Drummond major minutes, and not making major adjustment second game.
Which I just don’t see happening.

So far this team has played two playoffs type of games... They looked pretty bad on both games. Don't know how a team with so much offensive talent is struggling to score above 100pts.

No movement. Both James and AD are ISO mid-post ball-stoppers which works if you have shooting, but all we got now that Vogel will actually play is KCP - and he is just as likely to go 1-10 as 7-10 in any given game so you see these ugly stretches of offense.
