Any player that is not great at shooting the 3 needs to come off the bench next year. Learn your lesson, Lakers. Teams weren’t sagging off Danny Green/KCP/Kieff with AD at the 5. They were with Dre/Dennis.

Get some 3nD guys ahead of the Dinwiddie/Dennis types. And if you are going to get them to come off the bench to lead scoring/shot making for the 2nd unit.

Kuz made more 3s and had a better % than trae. There is no way we can’t get a legit player in return. I’m thinking garland

As much as I’d like to see Kuzma go, don’t want a player coming off a partial acl tear.

I know I may be the only one, but I think Kuz has a bounce back year from the 3 next season.

IMO it won’t be here. He, contrary to popular belief has value I’m sure around the league. As noted before he had a better % and more makes of 3pt shot than trae. He’s big and has improved defensively.

Agree. Not comparing him to Trae obviously, just noting that Kuz isnt as bad as Lakers fans make him out to be.

Trade Kuzma = great, but not for this guy. We need three point shooters!

I agree .. Kuz is like a D+ and not an F.

Since there are reports that Miami is looking to trade Tyler Herro, I wouldn't mind getting him instead of Dinwiddie for Kuzma.

Herro helps us with our depth problem on the wings, which gets worse without Kuzma. He also has a manageable contract of $4M next season, and a restricted FA the year after that. Putting a package together for him seems to have more upside with little risk, unless he is a bit too into himself as we've heard in rumors coming out of Miami.

I have no interest in Spencer for the price he'll be asking for.

Would I trade Kuzma and whatever else non-essential players, sure...but again... not for the contract he is looking for.

Same. Yes to Herro, no to Dinwiddie please.

^^^ A big question for that though is how willing would Pat Riley be towards making a deal with us. I heard he was really anxious about wanting to beat the Lakers last year in the Finals for personal reasons.

Herro is more about the NBA lifestyle than he is the game.

He was also a complete no show in the playoffs.

Both things this fan base claims is true about Kuz and hates him for it.

Herro gets hunted on defense & was a complete product of the bubble.

I have no problem trading Kuz, in fact Ive stated several times it would be the best thing for the Lakers and for Kuz's career.

That said, the trade needs to make sense & actually make the Lakers better.

Dinwiddie is coming off of 2 major injuries, as much crap our players like Kuzma get you don’t give up 1 of your trade assets for a guy who needs to prove he can stay healthy if a Kuzma/Dinwiddie trade were to happen we need more value coming back, the exciting trade would be Kuzma and our 1st round pick for Dinwiddie and Joe Harris.

Ewwwww, no thanks. Herro is more interested in knocking up IG THOTs than playing basketball. Not to mention hes basically unplayable in the playoff if his shot is off because he plays no D. Too undersized.

Kuzma is still developing and not yet reached his peak.
Maybe next year he will put everything together.

But whatever you do don't trade him for a guy going downhill.

Hard pass on Dinwiddie and especially Herro. I'm all for trading Kuz for the right return but those two do not accomplish that goal at all.

Buttttt I will say if that Dinwiddie deal somehow brought back Harris as well then i'd happily take it.

It makes no sense getting a S&T and sending a player under contract, unless you want to get rid of him. Like Kuzma or not, he has quite a tradeable contract if you want to.

You either trade an S&T for another (like Trez) or you sign Dinwiddie as FA. And I'm not talking about my concerns with Dinwiddie health.

People are really downplaying how bad it is to be hardcapped.

If it's an all star player, sure. But for Spencer coming off an ACL injury (and he reportedly wants $100m plus too).
