No. If Lakers had made the Buddy trade, kept Caruso, KCP and then used the mmle wisely we’d be the favorite.
Lakers instead created a lottery team for the next 7 years. |

Not true, there is no way that team could compete with GS and Phoenix. They probably would have been expected to win a similar 44-46 games. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

You hit the nail right on the head - many fans think this is merely a sports debacle. Far from it. Any rational business owner would be even more upset than the fans: management gave away $60+ million of the owner's cash to field a team that will likely miss the later playoff rounds - which is where the real money gets made; there's no bigger pain for ownership than the one they feel in their pocketbooks.
There's no doubt that heads will roll if AD/Nunn/Pelinka don't manage to reverse course. Unfortunately, it will likely not be the "right" heads. Here's hoping that AD/Nunn/Pelinka do turn things around. |

Russell Westbrook on Magic Johnson's Criticism
"I do not have a reaction," Westbrook said after the loss, via ESPN. "Everybody is entitled, in this world, to their opinion. Regardless of what that it is. You can either take it and run with it or you can take it and put it in one ear and out the other or you cannot respond to it.
"Magic's entitled to his opinion. And he's not here every day. He's not around us every day. He's not aware of what's going on internally with us and trying to figure things out. But I have no response to that ... Like I said, everyone in this world is entitled to their opinion and that's that."
"We just got to play hard," Westbrook said, via ESPN. "Sometimes, the schemes and how you play doesn't really matter. You got to just play hard sometimes. Teams are playing harder than us, simple as that."

Ikr. Just because he goes full speed when attempting a layup doesn’t mean he plays hard |

I read somewhere last time he was going so hard attacking the rim the ball didn't even touch the rim. Just the backboard 😂 |

AD was healthy at the beginning of the season but we were still molested by the top teams like we are right now. Injuries and chemistry are just excuses that everyone seems to bring up to justify the underachievement of this team. I mean even without AD, we should at least be able to handle teams like Sacto. The Clippers made it all the way to WCF without Kawhi last year. |

Yah, its that........ he "eludes" to being personally accountable at times throughout his career but he hardly ever blames himself for losses or leads by example in terms of leaving it all out on the court to get the win. Just not really a leader, IMO.
By way of comparison, Kobe wasn't exactly a leader at all times either but you very rarely questioned his desire to win and accountability in losses. There were times, I literally thought he was going to die on the court looking at how hard he was playing.... miss that dude..... |

very true.
to be frank, a badly missed bank shot is exactly the same as a shot that rim in and out. |

I guess whatever he said about making it work with Lebron and AD was all talk lol.
Russ just loves being Russ. On the court and off it too. |

that's wishful thinking. with the way AD played this season and the injuries, i don't think we would have any different records. if you actually watched Buddy play, the best move was probably no trade at all. |
