LEBRON INJURY THOUGHTS 2

One Expert guy was saying that LeBron's Injury should be a fast recovery, Tim DiFrancesco is saying 4 to 8 weeks. I'm going to need Tim's theory to be all the way wrong.

Per Oram

The reeling Lakers have said little about the injury to LeBron James, but ex-strength coach @tdathletesedge said a 4-8 week timeline is realistic. New @theathletic on the outlook for the Lakers as they face a lengthy absence for their most important star:

INJURIES - EXCUSES OR REASONS?

Either way there's a psychological toll as it is obvious here on this board. No telling how it's affecting the guys on the team but I thought this was an interesting article.

GOOD THT NEWS YAY

Per Goon

Among the many injured players the Lakers are hoping return soon, Talen Horton-Tucker might be the closest. The 20-year-old should be cleared for contact tomorrow, and he's raring to go:

Per Faigen

Anthony Davis will play tonight.

ICYMI Earlier (as I did)

Per McTen

Anthony Davis has been upgraded to probable for tonight, per Frank Vogel. The coach says AD is still dealing with the common cold and has some soreness in his right thumb. Davis participated in shootaround.

VOGEL NOT FEELING WELL EITHER

I hope some wack Cold isn't spreading throughout the whole damn team

Per Faigen

Frank Vogel says he personally "feels like crap" and has a cold. Anthony Davis also has a cold still, but again, will play tonight.

We've led the league in injuries since like 2012 it seems.

MORE RONDO/REAVES THOUGHTS

Per Faigen (article at link)

If Austin Reaves misses tomorrow’s game, the Lakers will only have four players taller than 6’4 available to play, and if Rajon Rondo joins him, they’ll be down to an eight-man rotation.

I mean come on. It has to be some explanation for this. There is no team in the NBA getting hurt like we do. Its absolute maddens. I am fine with some injury here and there and also major ones because they happen. But to have constant injuries like this week and week out. There is reason for that. Jeannie and Rob should really look into it. Fire all your medical staff. This is not acceptable.

THT INJURY RECOVERY THOUGHTS

(Again Dr. Brar has not worked with THT this is just his field of expertise)

Per 3cbperformance

My latest for @LakersSBN delves into Talen Horton-Tucker's ongoing return to play process including what to expect and look for in the coming days as he progresses back to games, including the final hurdle based on how Judy Seto has handled returning players thus far.

And it will continue….

Do many of you think the oldest team in the league will all be healthy to get for a good portion of the schedule?

We already got a star collective that has a ton of burn on their legs. On top of that, Bron is about to be 37. He joins Melo, Dwight, Rondo & Ariza in the 35y/o+ club. Most of those guys will also be heavily relied on in the postseason. AD has a knack to get injured and an about to be 33y/o Russ has a chronic knee condition tracing back to a meniscal tear in 2013 (ie more susceptible to arthritic pain within 10 years of injury).

https://www.sbnation.com/2018/9/12/17851948/russell-westbrook-knee-injury-surgery-history-thunder

Ironically it was our young boys that have all been on the IR, but get use to it fam….we will be dealing with a revolving door of injuries all year due to the injury history and age of our collective.

This was bound to happen when you round out the roster with vet mins (unnecessarily to avoid a heavier tax hit). Again, the vet min dudes are available for a reason. Some due to their issues with durability.

SUDDEN RECOVERIES FROM THE OTHER SIDE

Per Winderman

Spoelstra says it looks like Herro and Adebayo will be available tonight vs. Lakers.

the thing is that even the young guys were hurt a lot. BI, Lonzo, DLO, Randle(freak accident), etc.

Kind of ironic BI is currently injured, DLO and Hart has already missed games this season, Lonzo has been more injury prone than Lebron, AC missed 20+ games last season, Many 20ish age players are getting injured year over year. One contributing factor may be that many of these youngish type players are either playing or training year round which takes a toll on their bodies and eventually causes persistent and chronic injuries.

I think it's the extracurriculars these guys get involved with during the off season. Way more seem to come into camp pudgy instead of cut.

Just a Point of Information - AC missed most of his games due to being out on health and safety protocol because he had coronavirus.

But yeah this season for us except for Ariza it was the young guys went out first so you know I don't even know what to say about that.

Buss family being cheap when it comes to hiring the absolutely best trainer/medical personnel out there. the Suns with Grant Hill and Nash were not spring chickens, but that team stayed healthy for a few years. i don't even know who's Lakers' trainer this year after they let go that Asian lady. probably they kept low key because they hired another no namer for cheap.
