LBJ & WESTBROOK QUESTIONABLE
Per Trudell
Lakers injury report update:
LeBron James (left knee) and Russell Westbrook (lower back tightness) are listed as questionable tonight.
Both will go through on-court work before the game to determine if they’ll play at Portland.

He's been listed once or twice before (actually I think just once) but then ended up playing. So if he actually stays out…dundunduuuuuuuun. Lol |

ON THAT NOTE - RUSS
Per Oram
The natural instinct is to be conspiratorial about a new injury designation for Russ 24 hours before the trade deadline, but I'm told his back started acting up during the game last night and flared up again on the flight to PDX. Team still hopes he can play, but that's TBD.

Earned the right to finish games…but I’m injured and can’t play. Ok. Trade speculation continue….
Meanwhile, John Wall isn’t a spring chicken or a superstar and won’t fix anything. |

Imo Russ > Wall talent wise. But he was once an all-defensive player, and he did average 20.6/6.9 last year. So if they view Westbrook as unplayable at least they get a guy who is probably going to be happier with his role instead of getting nothing. They may feel they are better off with Wall not being a malcontent than with Russ being a distraction. |

HE SAYS HES OK - JUST TI-TI (tired)
Per Trudell
LeBron said his knee was a little sore when he got grabbed by Winslow in transition in the first half, and it impacted him for a couple of plays, but it was OK after that, and it didn’t have an impact from that point on.
https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/1491656838382637059?s=21
LeBron: “I’m tired as hell right now.”
He continued: “Mental fatigue is always a part of a season … it’s even more fatigue when you’re losing ballgames."
With that said: “I never get to the point where I’m out of it ... I’m not worried about that."

Nothing really. All they've been saying for the past maybe three weeks is that he is ramping up his workload and they'll show video of him working out and he does look more mobile, but then they say he still "a ways away" from actually playing. |

PELINKA ON NUNN
Apparently Pelinka is doing a press conference right now.
Per Trudell
Pelinka mentioned Kendrick Nunn’s possible return in late March as one way to improve, and cited the buyout market as an area the Lakers still hope to find some talent, citing the acquisition of Markieff Morris in 2020, which helped them towards their title run.

WESTBROOK EXPLANATION ON HIS BACK
Hmm
Per Goon
Russell Westbrook said he felt discomfort in his back against Milwaukee, and adds that part of the issue is that he's not accustomed "to sitting down for long stretches".
https://twitter.com/kylegoon/status/1492258626261557248?s=21
Per Trudell
Russell Westbrook said his back tighness has been something that’s come and gone this season, but it got especially stiff during the Milwaukee game.
Sounds like it felt better today than earlier this week, but he’ll “see how I feel in the morning” before determining game status.

RUSS' FULL QUOTE - NOTE AT LINK
Sounds a bit better in context

IFTOS - NO REAL CHANGES FOR WARRIORS
Several of their players are doing every other game/no B2B so they made sure everyone who can be available today is available.
Per Slater
Andre Iguodala remains out against the Lakers tomorrow night. Otto Porter returns to the lineup. No surprises on the Warriors’ side of the injury report.
Here is the Lakers’ side (Links to Jovan's tweet from yesterday )

MELO A POSSIBILITY
Per Turner
“Not out of question” that Carmelo Anthony comes back for Lakers vs Jazz, per Frank Vogel. Anthony out with hamstring injury
https://twitter.com/ba_turner/status/1493341732510912514?s=21
Per Oram
Frank Vogel was asked whether Carmelo Anthony, out with a hamstring strain, could have made a difference in close losses to Portland and GSW. “We have missed Carmelo Anthony. … I definitely think those two games could have been different.”
