BRON & ELLINGTON PLAY, THT OUT

Per Trudell

No THT for the Lakers tonight. Frank Vogel said he’s been trying to play through his ankle injury, but it’s been impacting his play.

Everyone else (outside of AD/Nunn) will be available, including Wayne Ellington, who was sick the last two games.

FRANK SPEAKS ON LEBRON

Per Trudell

Frank Vogel on LeBron’s knee, which will keep him out vs. Philly:

“Dealing with some soreness” after playing three games in four nights on the road, plus the long flight back to L.A. on Monday.

They’re hopeful he’ll be ready to play in L.A.’s next game (Sunday at NOP).

FRANK SPEAKS ON AD

Per Trudell

Vogel on Anthony Davis: He’s getting evaluated on a daily basis based on the work he did the day prior.

“He’s coming along really well.”

Still no specific timetable/target date for a return.

FRANK SPEAKS ON THT

Per Halpern

Per Frank, Talen's a game time decision due to his ongoing ankle soreness

https://twitter.com/cooperhalpern/status/1506788880736997377?s=21

Per Trudell

THT is a true game-time decision with the sore ankle that has kept him out of two of the last three games.

DJ Augustin stepped into many of those reserve minutes in THT’s place, giving L.A. more shooting and secondary playmaking, vs. THT dribble drives/defense.

ICYMI - ESPN SAUCES ON AD

Part of a larger article on the status of some significant injuries heading into the Playoffs

Per McTen/ESPN

Anthony Davis

Out since Feb. 16 with a right mid-foot sprain

If everything continues to progress well in Davis' rehab, the All-Star big man could be suiting up for games by the first week of April, at the earliest, sources told ESPN. The Lakers have gone 18-7 in the past two postseasons when Davis and James were in the lineup and able to finish the game. That's the stat that keeps L.A.'s locker room believing, despite how difficult this season has been. The Lakers struggled to adjust without him at first, going 2-9 out of the All-Star break, but started to find a mix that works by giving more time to role players like Stanley Johnson, Austin Reaves and Wenyen Gabriel to replicate the defensive-minded presence that Davis provides, while letting James continue to shoulder the offensive burden. If Davis can get back, there won't be much time to ramp things up before the play-in tournament, but if his immediate return to high-level play coming off an MCL sprain in January is any indicator, a ramp up might not be needed.

TALKIN’ PRACTICE - AD & KENDRICK

I missed this earlier…

Per Faigen

Frank Vogel says the team will have another practice tomorrow, but it will be non-contact. AD is not cleared to participate yet. Kendrick Nunn has not done anything, and THT and LeBron were off their feet today and are day-to-day.

MORE ON NUNN

Per Faigen

Frank Vogel, asked by @billoram why the team hasn't just ruled Nunn out for the season at this point says "That's a good question."

https://twitter.com/hmfaigen/status/1507448317050953728?s=21

Vogel says he's not sure when Nunn's next MRI is, and that he has made progress in his rehab, but obviously not enough to get back on the court.

https://twitter.com/hmfaigen/status/1507448475763453956?s=21

For full context, here is a transcript of Frank Vogel's exchange with reporters on Kendrick Nunn, LeBron, AD and THT's statuses.
