IN GAME INJURIES - VOGEL ON LEBRON

Per Goon

Vogel used the word "hobbled" to describe LeBron on defense in the second half. He gave credit to him earlier for toughing it out for 39 points, but acknowledged that trying to get LeBron off the ball more might have hurt them defensively.

https://twitter.com/kylegoon/status/1508257981527478275?s=21

Per Trudell

Frank Vogel said LeBron was “In an incredible groove” prior to turning his ankle, and that he was clearly limited by it in 2nd half, even as he managed to play 42 minutes.

“He was pushing through it, but I did sense (his limitation).”

We’ll hear from LeBron soon.

https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/1508258312751570944?s=21

Per Ward

Frank Vogel on LeBron's ankle: "We'll have an update tomorrow."

Straight From the Horse's Mouth

LBJ POST GAME

Per Buha

LeBron’s left ankle is heavily taped up postgame while addressing the media.

https://twitter.com/jovanbuha/status/1508264709442711554?s=21

Per Goon

LeBron James came to the postgame podium with his left ankle wrapped up. On the injury: "I have no idea how I finished the game." Says it's "horrible" at the moment.

https://twitter.com/kylegoon/status/1508264955346399233?s=21

Would he have played through this injury if he felt that it was a normal regular season game?

"Probably not."

https://twitter.com/kylegoon/status/1508265797701017605?s=21

Per Trudell

LeBron said that he hopes this ankle doesn’t cost him any missed games. He already started treatment on it postgame, will continue treatment on the flight, and aim to get it ready for the next game.

VOGEL ON BRON

Per Oram

Frank Vogel calls the injury to LeBron James "the latest and maybe biggest blow to our psyche," which doesn't exactly hint at an imminent return.

If someone still had hope of turning this season around, there it is

What a (bleep) disaster.

Bad decisions coupled with extreme bad luck.

Correction: Lakers had slight chance of turning things around, they were never gonna do anything even with a healthy LeBron, this FO might be dumb enough to use the injury excuse card though

DAY TO DAVIS

Not ruled out for the next game. Basically they are having him practice, seeing how he feels/responds after the practice and making a game time decision each game.

Per Trudell during the Spectrum broadcast

IN GAME INJURIES - WENYEN

Per Goon

Wenyen Gabriel is limping back to the locker room under his own power.

https://twitter.com/kylegoon/status/1508980008785743872?s=21

I was watching this when it happened because they showed him walking off on the spectrum broadcast. There was no explanation leading up to showing him walking off limping so I don't know what happened.

BRON HEADED HOME
