Jim Jackson, just cut by Phoenix, wanted to play for the Lakers in 2002, settling instead for Sacramento. Penny Hardaway, Jon Barry and Rick Brunson are other options, albeit with health concerns, too.

Odom became phil's new whipping boy?
Quote:
Odom (16 points) "finally started playing," to use Jackson's precise words, "when desperation became a factor." Jackson had second-guessed to Odom's face - often angrily - nearly every misdirected offensive attack he tried most of the game.

Actually I already thought about this. He knows Sac's offense and they definately need another vet to take Martin and Garcia's minutes.

Think about the difference Jackson and Hassell would have made.

this doesn't mean he has signed with SacTown now......

it implies he wanted to be a Laker back in 2002, but at the time had to settle for Sacrametno, just telling us he likes the organization (LAL)

Exactly.

This whole thread was started in the name of "Jim Jackson to Sacramento"
because the OC Register mentions he signed there in 2002?

<sigh>

Umm.....It says he wanted to be a Laker in 2002 but wound up in Sac instead. It doesn't say anything about 2006. You do know this is 2006 right?
