Okay, we all know that Mitch HAS NOT contacted ANYONE right?
This is BS.
Mitch is not interested in anyone.
Remember, they are happy with this roster.
I will eat my hat and everyone else's if the Lakers could land Jim Jackson. |

Mitch thought all the hype was about Jermaine Jackson. An insider told me he is also close to signing Tito Jackson. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Tito is used to hanging around good company so most likely he opts to sign with a contender. |

I don't know if it is rumor or real, but there is a mention in the PE. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

The Suns announcers just said that they were told before the start of the game that it looks like Jim Jackson will sign with the Lakers. I don't know if it's just a reference to the Lakers contacting him, or new info. Take it for what it's worth. |

now this is the time when a real insider would be ideal! nothing blockbuster, no guessing games, or secretive code, just a simple "Yeah, I heard from my inside guy that Jackson is or isnt signing with the team, just thought I'd pass it along"....just a simple heads-up one way or the other? that would be nice |

I think they'll definetly offer him a spot.
I guess it's up to him whether he takes it or not... |

I think we'll be signing him. We need another vet scorer at the guard spot. Tonight's fourth quarter was once again evidence of that. |

Lakers over the past few years have made too many personnel mistakes.
Obviously there are no guarantees. The Lakers need someone in management that is more insightful or luckier than current Management.
Go after someone like Kiki |

I don't think Jim Jackson is DONE, I think he is just out of the rotation. I mean last year he averaged over 10 points a game and this year 3.7. I think Phoenix has a different rotation of players now and Jackson is not part of that mix, thus being waived.
All I know is that I saw him plenty of times last year including against the Lakers where he looked damn solid.
Better than anyone we currently have outside of Kobe and Lamar.
He is not finished....he is not McKie.
I am cautiously optimistic that the Lakers sign him but I am yet to read anything that states this. "calling and agent" doesn't mean anything.
Brock or Emplay/Eric, do you have anything to add? |

The PE does get a lot of scoops on the Lakers. They have a good track record, so they must have great sources. The Lakers have also talked about getting veteran backcourt help. Smush has started three times more games with the Lakers than he did with three other teams. He's not used to the long minutes for an entire season. He and Sasha have had a great opportunity to get minutes this season, but it's more than they normally carry. A veteran could help in the stretch drive. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. all I know is that he would be a good addition, brings a person who can not down the 3 consistantly, brings decent defense, brings experience, brings vet leadership, and brings a playoff tested demeanor
plus the guy is a main key why the Suns got to the WCF last year, against Dallas he was hot |

I might also be interested in Fred Hoiberg. He has some triangle experience. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |
