You the the idea that phil doesn't like trades during the mist of the season...but now it seems that we're trying to sign jim jackson.
To note...Phil doesn't like trades during the mid season because he believes players need a longer time adjusting to the triangle system.

Most of our scrub like players like the player who plays our point guard doesn't really play in the context of the system. Then we have lamar odom who points his problem to the context of disharmony. maybe that's just an excuse to make people believe the reason why he is playing terribly is due to the disharmony that certain players bring.

So why does phil/ lakers organization believe that Jim Jackson or some other player they can sign can pick up the system pretty well?

Doesn't scientists believe that younger you are, the learning capacity is enormous and one has potential to learn pretty much everything...

That certainly isn't the case with our players isnt it?

First, most of Phil Jackson's teams didn't need to sign someone this late just to try and make the playoffs. Second, Jim Jackson has to help more than Slava, who will be waived for him. Some act as if he is signing Jackson to be the next Shaq. All they are trying to do is find another body who can contribute.

We only sign injured vets anyway. If we sign JJ, he'll probably have season-ending surgery before he touches the floor.

On the other thread, it mentions that Jim Jackson has triangle experience.

A vet like JJ who has a good BBall IQ would pick things up pretty quickly. He wasn't in his early years, but now he's a much grittier defender - something this team needs pretty badly.
