Kobe shoots a lot and scores a lot. But it’s generally accepted – in this forum at least – that there are no other consistent scoring threats to help him carry the load. What about other players in this league that dominate the ball? Should they be looking to get their teams involved more? I like all these players, and they are all shooting decent or good FG% for their positions, but am just curious what people think. Here are a couple examples:

Allen Iverson (33.2 PPG, 45% FG, 25.8 Shots/Game):
Other scoring options include Webber, Iguodala, Korver. This team by all accounts is imploding with lots of media documenting internal fighting. I think Iverson should scale it back to something like 25 PPG and move the ball around a bit more, especially to Iggy, who many people think could do more if he were given the rock more.

Lebron James (30.6 PPG, 48% FG, 22.8 Shots/Game):
Other scoring options include Ilgauskus, Hughes (now Flip), Marshall. Hughes is out and Marshall has been stone cold this year, so Lebron seems kinda justified here. Ilgauskus is a quality offensive C who can put up a solid 16 – 18 PPG, but there don’t seem to be consistent other options without Hughes in the mix.

Gilbert Arenas (28.6 PPG, 44% FG, 20.9 Shots/Game):
Other options include Jamison, Butler. Both Jamison and Butler are very capable scorers and though Gil is one of my favorite players, but should he really be chucking up as many shots as he is or try getting his supporting mates better looks?
