Considering how many times the core Piston players were traded, not many people thought that they were stars, defenders, etc. of achampionship caliber. Many of the Lakers have the abilities/athleticism that the Piston players have, but lack basketball IQ and experience - probably add drive to describe LO. Players such as Smush, Sasha, Cookie and Kwame have never played this many games and this many minutes while under the glare of a big city like Los Angeles. They have shown glimpses of what they can do - along with others such as LO (gulped) and Smush (OMG - another lazy pass). Bynum and Turiaff have definitely shown great promise. |
