Richard Hamilton
Height: 6-7
Weight: 193
Brian Cook
Height: 6-9
Weight: 258 lbs.
Lamar Odom
Height: 6-10

Anyone actually think we'll take advantage of this? _________________ Lakers Gonna Lake |

Possibly, but have you thought about DET taking advantage of the Kobe?
Sick with a sinus infection. 2nd game of a back-to-back.Who's going to chase Rip?
Outside of our last game he (Kobe) struggles with his shooting.

The Pistons are too smart and their team defense is just too much for our team to take advantage of anything other than maybe Cook on pick and pops I'd say. We all know how the Pistons are on defense inside. |

Odom won't be able to do anything because he can't shoot. When he gets into the paint he's going to be stuffed by the Wallace brothers |

The only possible advantage I can see is if RIP is guarding Cook, Tay Prince will be guarding Kobe, meaning that either:
1 - Billups will guard Odom, Lamar could then post up on Billups, and get easy points.
2 - Rasheed will be guarding Odom, meaning Odom will bring him out of the paint, making it easy for guys like Kobe/Smush to go for layups. _________________ www.lakersbrasil.com

Odom has a mismatch every night. It's never taken advantage of so I wouldn't expect it to start today. |

I like the way Cook didn't allow an easy layup last night. The man scored, but he paid for it. I wouldn't mind seeing some physical play. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

We should, and I hope we would. This is the ONLY mismatch size-advantage that we have, and we should take advantage of it.
BTW, Is Richard H. that tall? I always thought that he is something like 6-4 or 6-3. |

Any advantages we should have would be negated because all we have to throw at Chauncey B-B-B-Billups is Smush "10-Day" and Sissy Booyacic. |

They play a ton of zone.
Lakers will have to make a lot of perimeter shots.
My advice would be to have Odom push the ball off every rebound and try to get 15-20 points in transition instead of relying solely on the Triangle/Kobe Iso to get you offense. |

Actually, Kobe will/should be guarding Billups. It is Smush vs. Hamilton that is going to be a nightmare for us.
Kobe's defense has been bad the last month or so (not up to his usual standard). But I think that this game being against a top team in the league, guarding a potential league MP3 (Ali G. ), Kobe will be ready for both ends of the floor.
Smush defense?...Well Smush is Smush ever since his contract was guaranteed. |

as far as i'm concerned there is no such thing as an LO mismatch. its a nice little theory but it never materializes.
maybe if he started caring... _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

Well, it would be ideal if the Pistons did assign Rip to Brian I like that matchup all day. They won't.
Unfortunately Only Kobe can keep up with Rip. Tay will be all over Kobe which is why Cook is going to be huge in this game against Rip if they just take advantage of that mismatch.
OH, and come back to me after this game.(like I know you will) LO is going to be huge tonight... 8) _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.." |

I hope so, and I think he is capable of doing it. That is why I list him as the most important key to winning the game tonight. |

Hopefully Phil will have Odom take advantage of it, and he doesn't pick up alot of offensive fouls while doing it. Cook on the other hand, well he might have trouble posting up a 5 yr old. |

I agree completely, but for some reason for the first time in a long time, I feel like Lamar is going to have a big game tonight. He seems to wake up against the better teams of the league. Plus as crappy as he's been playing lately, there's only one way to go from there. |
