What an ass. Musburger was adamantly pro-Kobe for MVP and Walton darn near passed out thinking up reasons why anyone but Kobe was the MVP. "Look at Philly, even they have a better record than the Lakers" Uh no Bill, not true, but thanks for trying. Snapper had Dirk as the MVP but gave Kobe props. But our own Luke Walton's father had nothing good to say about #8. |

Because he believes Kobe has such a great supporting cast like Luke Walton. Who wouldn't want to pass the ball to him with such a beautiful shot? |

I guarantee that if Kobe wins MVP, he won't get every vote. I hope that doesn't bother everyone. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

LOL... Ventura definitely doesn't hate Kobe. I was surprised at Muffburger voting for Kobe though. Also, Walton seems to have changed his tune. Not long ago I thought he was pimping Kobe for the MVP. Or was that just as the "best player in the game" award??

I think he's trying to seem unbiased since his son is on the team. I'll bet he votes for Kobe when he gets his ballot. |

Yeah... I don't think landslide MVP vote is in Kobe's near future. |

Oh by the way in my NBA live dynasty i8'm in my second season and Kobe is a cinch for MVP as he is averaging 37.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 11.1 apg and 2.79 spg.
Just thought I'd brag since were on the subject. |

But knowing the mentality of these MVP judges, I'd bet they'll completely over look this. _________________

I think Bill jumped off the Bryant bandwagon since that New York game last year where walton passed up the last shot and Kobe started yelling at him. Nothing like a father seeing someone else yealling at his own son. _________________ "To me he is the best player in the world right now. That guy doesn't know fear at all. He doesn't care. He won't get it.He'll be lucky to get top 4 in my opinion. This is why I believe players and coaches should vote because they know whatsup. |

I have to agree with that. It's amazing the job he's doing without Amare. _________________ Ringo "You retired too?"

Kobe will finish in the top three or four. If the Lakers can somehow get to the 2nd round or WCF, he is a lock to win it based on his roster versus what Nash has on his. |

MVP means most valuable player.
Take Nash off the suns, they are still a .500 team
Take Kobe off the Lakers, we are worse than the knicks
So who really is more valuable? _________________ “YO JEANIE, WHATS UP MY BIIIAAACCCHH!” – COCA JAMES ON 1540AM THE TICKET LAKERS ROUNDTABLE - 03/02/06

D'antoni is coach of the year;
Marion is another legitimate candidate for MVP
Diaw is the MIP
They have a bunch of great shooters .
Nash is lucky to be in the right place.
Nash will be voted MVP because Kobe has a young team and won't have a great record, but it won't be the right choice. |

Last I checked MVP was an individual award. It really irks me when I hear people say "it's the best player on the best team".
Take Kobe off the Lakers and we will be the worst team in the league.
Take C. Billups out of Detroit and they are still a powerful team in the East.
I think that is pretty valuable.
By the way, Steve Nash does deserve a lot of votes. |

I wonder if they have to wipe down the camera lense after every interview with Bill Walton. I will give him credit for one incident though. Last year they were doing a game for the Lakers when Puke Walton threw the ball away and Bill throws down this commentary an it: "Luke Walton just threw the worst pass in the history of the NBA." It was so freaking funny, I think my liver rotated. |

Based on my impression of Luke this season, he's not very fond of Kobe. In the games I attended he has basically been the one guy who is open about his distaste for Kobe on the court. One time Kobe was chastising him for messing up a play, and he looked around and was like "Can you believe this guy?"
Let's also not forget the way Kobe blew up at him in NY last year for not taking the open last shot.
If Bill is not Kobe's biggest fan, I'd say chalk it up to him taking up for his son. _________________ You are under no obligation to remain the same person you were a year ago, a month ago, or even a day ago. You are here to create yourself, continuously. - Richard Feynman |

His son is lucky to be in the league. Bill and Muss are both morons who change their tune quite often, so it really doesnt matter to me what they say.
His love for Iverson though is amusing. _________________ JVG FOR LAKERS HEAD COACH |

I think the current Phoenix team is better offensive/defensive team than last year team. Bell, Diaw, Barbosa, and Jones are better than last year Phoenix Johnson, Barbosa, and Q. Marion is the MVP of Phoenix because of his versatility to the team. |

Nash and Kobe should be the only names that are discussed in MVP talks IMO
No player is even close to those two in terms of the amount of games they have won for their team through their ability. |
