Atlanta got raped in that Joe Johnson deal. They still owe Phoenix 2 first rounders too. 18 pts 9 boards 11 dimes the game before. Only 23 years old too.

Dallas proving in the past few games that they are not in the Spurs or Suns' class.

Boris Diaw certainly is a player.....he has some skills

i must say though he surprised the hell out of me - i never really thought he could be the type of player that he has shown this year with Phoenix

maybe it's Steve Nash's influence, maybe it's that system at Phoenix, maybe it's D'Antoni (the Coach), maybe it's just him?

If he's not better than Lamar already he will be in a season or 2. Already a better defender that's for sure.

Diaw was getting pimped by Sky long before anyone even knew who he was.

What's funny is that remember Atlanta's ownership is based on a board of members, and there was that 1 guy that tried to prevent the deal from going through, and he even took all the owners to court but obvious he lost. Majority rules! Atlanta is in the dumps, Joe Johnson certainly isn't a franchise player, 29 out of 30 managers wouldn't even do Diaw straight up for JJ now, let alone Diaw + 2 first rounders. That 1 guy is now walking around swinging his big you know what around, and the majority owners are probably embarassed.

Diaw took some time to get on track. The Hawks picked a player who didn't fit their system. He was wasting away in Atlanta. He would have fit well with the Lakers. The Suns also received a couple of draft picks.

He would be a GREAT initiator for the triangle, thought so in his first year in ATL. He's played point before and can successfully play positions 1-5. Truely a remarkable player.

Of course, now Diaw is almost untouchable.

The one owner of the Hawks thought they were giving up too much. He got voted out. Now, he's proven he was right about the trade. They should have stood with their free agent offer. The Suns couldn't afford to sign him and also give Amare the contract he's going to be getting.

Yeah but Sky was pimping him as an initiator type, when all his success with the Suns has come because they have him playing at center. Still, it's too bad he got thrown in that Johnson deal. Atlanta was literally about to give him away for a couple draft picks.

Sky, myself and Mike have been after Diaw since before his draft.

He could have been had for cheap via trade last year. Oh well...

Props to Mike D of Phoenix for again figuring out how to mold his system around his players. How many other coaches out there would have had the guts to throw Diaw out as a center and force other teams to match up against him?

Weren't you guys pimping Barbosa as well?

Sounds like you have the same vision as Colangelo.

But wow would it be amazing to have Diaw or what?

Ummm, is this where I cut in and make the obligatory Mitch bashing post?

Damn, and the rich get richer. This isn't even the end of it. Phoenix got 2 high draft picks as well. Deppressing.

I don't think the salaries work out.
