I loved the way he threatened the Pistons in the finals, like he was some kind of scoring threat. That was funny.

Bye bye Slava...

I loved the way I would just know that if he touched the ball, he would shoot it...

hang on... I hated that...

I loved the way that no one even remembers he was actually still on the team...

Peace out Slava... good luck in the future...

Get well soon, Slava, and get yourself on a fastbreaking team next season.

Anyone remember Slava's "basketball is round" quote? That was awesome.

Bye Slava!

Slava could actually be a good offensive threat in the right system.

The "basketball is round" comment was great.

I seriously already miss Slava. He had become "institutionalized" as a Laker.

I'll miss his always rosy cheeks. It's like someone backhanded him and left him permanantly red faced.

Something was lost in translation. A reporter asked him about the Triangle offense and Slava responded with something like "Are you kidding me, basketball is round like circle." ...Or something like that. Hopefully, someone has the real thing. It was genius.

Tough season for Slava. First he gets injured. Then faints in an elevator. Then his diet of chocolate bars is panned as "juvenile" by the coach. Not long afterwards, he's out for the season medically. Now he's off the team. Damn.

Little known Slava quirk... he was the Shareef Abdur-Rahim Stopper. For some reason he gave Shareef fits, other than that he couldn't really guard anyone.

I'll miss him. He could score well at times when it was needed. But most importantly he did nothing to shame the organization and the Lakers jersey, and he played to his abilitites. I can respect that. You can't have a team of 12 superstars people.

Don't feel bad about Slava. He has been hired by the Mars corporation to be a spokesperson for Snickers.
