can't they tell if something is backed-up?
i would thing with something this big, that they would need the orginal. didn't they do that in season 2?
i mean, logan didn't even worry about them making a copy, so i would think the orginal would be the only thing to worry about. |
True. They'd want the original copy. But I think they could've made another copy and work with that instead. Put the original in a safe place so guys like Miles won't come and interrupt. And I don't think it should take that long to make one except that I guess in this case, Chloe didn't have much time. _________________ "It's just fo' decoration! Looks like I was right....
"We've discussed going to a foreign location or another city just to widen the palette of '24','" Howard Gordon, the show's executive producer, said in an interview with TelevisionWeek publisher Chuck Ross. "After five seasons in LA, I feel it's getting shopworn."
And Colby might get his wish:
The rumour is that some of next season's episodes could be filmed in... China. |

this is awesome news. hope it turns out this way. if the rumor is true we will be seeing the chinese in the finale tonight (i hope!)
and yeah... thank goodness for tivo/dvr. i will not be able to watch either the playoffs or 24 tonight. my friend and i are hardcore fans of the movie Boondock Saints and they are going to show the movie at a movie theater tonight to promote the new SE DVD that is coming out. that movie has never been shown on the big screen so tonight is my only chance to see it. theyll probably add new showings but i aint takin that chance.

holy bleep!
i just checked the fox web site and they have a pic of jack from tonights episode and....
SPOILERS in hidden text
Jack is captured and wearing what appears to be a pilots uniform. why the hell is he wearing a pilots uniform? There is also another pic shows jack setting up a camera. this could likely be him trying to get logan to confess on tape. he's not successful and secret service capture him i bet
tonights gonna be good. just dont bring back kim bauer and ill be a happy man. |

Saw the actor who plays Logan on the KTLA morning news today. He said he and Jean Smart concocted a history for their two characters so that they could better play off of each other. They decided they had a 21-year old son disappear, but don't know if he was killed or kidnapped. It is the cause of Martha's dependence on pills, and the tension between each other, since they blame each other for his disappearance. They had hoped it would be included in the show, but it hasn't.
Also, he said he hasn't seen tonight's episode(s), only parts where he had to do voice overs. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I think these last two hours saved the season. Incredible. I won't list any spoilers yet for you Left Coast freaks. But whatever you do, don't miss the first ten minutes. |

That look on Martha's face, she could barely keep from laughing out loud at Logan, she played him, rat bastard.
Now Jack is on a long, slow boat to China, literally. _________________ Forget carbon, reduce your government footprint |

Nice ending. Saw it coming, but it still rocked. Kind of reminded me of the original Mission Impossible series, too.
The entire next season will have to be filmed in China or where ever Jack ends up. Plus...they will have to figure out a way to get the whole team out there. So, they will likely be on a mission to pull Jack out or something. Should be good.
I bought my dad the first couple seasons of 24 for his birthday. He just started watching this weekend. Ended up watching 8 episodes and going to bed at 2 a.m. Ha, ha...
I now envy him because he gets to watch the entire series this summer while we have to wait until next season. Uggh. |

Yep. Wish I could get my fix with several seasons I hadn't seen yet until the next new episode.
Oh well, I will try to live off the buzz from this season's end for as long as I can. |

OK, so theories on next season?
1) The team tries to break Jack outta some Chinese torture facility. Seems like that's a good likelihood, but maybe they'd have to go rogue, since CTU's job is not to go around breaking out agents.
2) The Chinese government uses threats on Kim's life to get Jack to do some missions for them. Maybe that's what the dude at the end meant when he said Jack was a valuable asset.
3) The US government sends a team to try to kill Jack to ensure that he does not compromise national security. Some CTU folks learn about this and try to save him.
Any other theories? |

Why don't you watch it again. It's still great entertainment and you'll pick up a lot of things you missed the first time around. |

Jack escapes, gets pissed and single handedly wipes China off the map. |

Jack Bauer > 1 Billion chinese...
great episode(s)...I love how jack killed Bierko and Henderson within a couple minutes of each other..
Good touching moments in this one:Chloe seeing that picture of Edgar; Jack and Audrey; even Bill and Karen Hayes (with Bill smiling like a school boy..a school boy who desperately wants to make sweet love!)
I think we'll see Chloe's husband again next season...
Y'know.. I also wouldn't mind seeing Chase..that guy was cool...and he's actually not dead...although he's a dead beat husband...maybe he can break Jack out cuz Chloe sure as hell ain't doing it...neither is Bill. None of these people are in the field..
I like socks's #2 idea...using Kim as bait.
We still have no word on the bluetooth gang...they're roming around free...they, of course, need to be brought to justice...
$10 says Heller plays another prominent role next season..
7 months 'til season 6...dang..too long. I'm starting over from Season 1. |

I think the bluetute's will play a major role next season. Chloe's ex probably also. We'll see the Vice President as the President. And it will be great to get out of that old CTU building. Out one the field where Jack can rip sht up.
7 months! I might have to re-watch days 1-4 again. |

I agree with The Dagger. The last two episodes were so great, they essentially made up for the sloppiness and plot holes of some of the previous episodes. That saved the season. They were classic 24.
I couldn't breathe when watching it. It was as intense as ever.
Also, I can't believe Day 6 will take place in China. That is going to be interesting. Man, how are we going to wait till '07?? |

That was an interesting statement, I had the feeling that Jack isn't just going to be tortured, that they will use him for something. And I was bummed that the Bluetooth gang weren't identified, hopefully they will have a part in the next day. Also, the look that the sailor gave Jack when he blew Henderson away, I had the feeling that death will come back into play in the future. Great ending to a very good season.
As for Jack and China, this would be the perfect opportunity for a movie to come out at Christmas. Two hours of Jack kicking ass in China that leads up to the next TV season. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Henderson isn't dead folks. He winked at Jack right before he shot him.
The point of having the marine there is to verify with CTU that henderson is dead. Who knows....Henderson = still alive. It was part of the deal. |

Uh, he looked dead to me, or else why did they show a Pic in Picture sequence of Henderson on a stretcher with his face all shot and bloodied up?!? _________________ "Now we're so happy we do the dance of joy." |
