Definitely soda, i had an xbox, an bought only one nba game for the 3 year i had it, that was nba 2k3, that was simply the best nba game ever made, and might be playing it if my xbox 360 could play it. Whats funny too , was that i traded shaq in that game , because it was boring with him, i traded him too the clipper for odom and jermain o'neal

graphics are nice, i donwload a demo from xbox live 360 and it was tight but thats about all it has, no dynasty , which is what i would usually play. Unfortunately 2k6 doesnt have demo avaialable but im a fan of their game.

Yep, I have 2k3 for Xbox too.

I agree, even with the graphics not being quite as good as 2k5 (the next
one I got, I skipped 2k4)... 2k3 had more simple, and mostly better, play
control.

2k5 was when they brought out "Iso-Motion" which was a cool idea,
because it made your players make some flashy moves on occasion, but
more often than not it actually made your guy go in the wrong direction
and made it harder to drive.

Either way, 2k3, 2k5, 2k6 - I have 'em all, and I have two versions of
Live.

2k series eats Live's lunch and STILL jacks it's lunch-money.

2k6 fixed the Iso-Motion problems too.

It's the best game on the market hands-down.

Only advantage Live might have is their Franchise-mode, but who wants
to play a franchise mode on a game where the gameplay sucks and the
animations look so unrealistic that it washes out the otherwise excellent
graphics?

Last live i owned was Nba live 01 for my PC. Didnt know that live 06 on Xbox , had a better franchise however, i thought nba 2k6 was still superior in that category, doesnt matter for me anyway because live 06 , on xbox360 is stripped down to nothing, so it wasnt much of a desicison.

2k6 is better but Live is total trash. But don't be fooled into thinking 2k6 is a technically sound game b/c it is not. Being better than Live isn't saying much. There's still a (bleep) load of problems and weak pts with 2k6. Why is it that basketball games are never made as well as football games?

When I played Live, I wondered if they added a new Perspire stat to all the players and set everyone's level to "Ewing". What the hell's up with that?

So there isn't a dynasty mode in any of these games? I'm definately taking Live '06 back. I played it a couple of times but wasn't blown away. The graphics look great but I think that is the only thing I got from the game.

2K6 is better than Live 06 because it offers much more options such as the Association(Franchise), 24/7(Street), Season, tournament, and some features like the Crib in which you get to customize your room(I covered mine with all Lakers Stuff), graphically this game is better but some character models looks like crap (ex:Chris Mihm, Chris Kaman, Sasha Vujacic) the coaches and crowd are recycled from the original Xbox version and on a standard TV 2k6 360 looks exactly like the Xbox version but on HDTV its amazing. The simplest of things though can get frustrating at times like making a layup and dunk but other than that everything about 2k6 is better than live 06.

how do you make a layup in live, the game is really cool, good graphics, however, always lose close games cause cannot make a freakin layup.

The thing I hate about both of these games, Live especially is the layup problems. Anytime there is even a possibility of contact your player goes and tries to make some ridiculous shot even if the player is behind you or something.

I would not buy 2k6 unless u really luv basketball games b/c there are a handful of really solid games coming out this month. Well if you got the xtra money to spend go for it but if not wait for GRAW, Oblivion, or FC.

You need to go to the setup options and make sure "Derek Fisher Mode" is turned off.

how many people here actually played NBA live 2006 for 360?
Any way, no one mentioned that shooting free throws in live 06 is almost impossible and the camera angle is very weird. Sure the graphic is nice, but the gameplay is as bad as it gets. a rushed game.

2K6 Is much better than Liver OVERALL

Live has nothing...no dynasty mode..no nothing other than graphics

2k6 offers a complete package with slightly less spectacular graphics but overall has to be considered a good game.

Let IGN do the talking:

LIVE RATING:5.9

2K6 RATING:7.8

Madden used to suck compared to the NFL2K series.

Madden was WAY too pass-happy for years, running game sucked.

Which just isn't football.

But I'll admit I got Madden '05 when it came out and it's alot better than
a couple years before it.

You can actually run the ball. The Franchise mode is excellent.

Now Madden has exclusive rights to NFL copyrights, so we'll never see the
2k series again in pro-football.

That woulda ticked me off a couple years ago, but thankfully Madden is
balanced out now and is actual football instead of flat-out pass-happy
arcading like it used to be.

actually soda, ive heard that if this nfl CBA doesnt get extended that they might lose some rights. And 2k, would be able too bring out a game with nfl players and what not. But they would have too call it NFLA 2k, not NFL 2k. Havnt researched the topic really but read that somewhere not sure if it legit though.

some of these reviews sites are misleading, i was checking over nba live 06 / nba 2k6, and they gave nba live 06 a 9, while nba 2k6 a 8. But if u read the customers review everyone loved nba 2k5 and didnt like nba live 06 as too give it a 9. U usually have too read a couple reviews too get a good indication of a game.
