..i hope so....but he wont be a sonic for long....he recently trashed the owner and said he would opt out of his contract. Sori if this is a late post, i just heard of it just now.

I think mostly people just weren't digging on how sure your title makes it
sound, when it's one-paragraph with no real details, and is speculative
in nature.

He would fit in perfect with KG and KB8. Kobe slashing, KG at the highpost and (bleep) hitting shots from outside. Then get Boozer to play the low-post.

| He would definitly fit our need of an outside shooter. If we did land him people who have been wanting Kobe to drive in more will see it. Having a consistent shooter on the perimeter just spaceing things out, and we all know how well Kobe plays in open space. |

I think if the Lakers contacted the Sonics in the off-season, we could work a deal to bring Lewis to LA for Odom and Miami's 1st. If the tandem works out, Lewis will have four choices come the summer of '07 when he can opt out of the contract:
A) Decline to opt out and stay with the team allowing the Lakers more flexibility for '07 FA's;
B) Opt out and re-sign with the Lakers with their capspace;
C) Opt out and walk away leaving the Lakers with even more capspace in '07; or,
D) Opt out and allow the Lakers to do a S&T deal with him.
I know that Option "A" is a longshot, but consider...
According to the article, Lewis can void the final two years of his contract which will pay him about $21 million. That's a lot of money to leave on the table if you fit well with Kobe and can bring in another good player into the mix to help you towards a championsip. |

Odom and a pick for Lewis? That's insane! Besides the contracts don't work. Odom makes twice as much as Lewis. |

That just gives us a better chance to get him if he wants to come to LAL...
And it lowers the asking price. With an upcoming opt-out year, he has alot of leverage over where he wants to go...

He is away from Sac. But mos def has fell of considerably since 02-03. Rashard Lewis will do the same once he gets the contract. Maybe Kobe-Lewis-Odom would work at the 2-3-4. Odom for Lewis is just dumb and worse than a lateral move. Maybe Odom and a Pick for Allan. |
