Here is mine

@ NO/Okla. City- W
@ San Antonio- L
vs Seattle- W
@ Sacramento- W
vs Minnesota- W
@ New Jersey- L
@ Cleveland- W
@ Boston- W
vs Sacramento- W
vs Milwaukee- W
vs NO/Okla. City- W
vs San Antonio- L
@ Seattle- L
vs Houston- W
@ Denver- L
@ Phoenix- L
vs L.A. Clippers- W
vs Golden State- W
vs Portland- W
vs Phoenix- L
vs NO/Okla. City- W

I have us finishing the season fairly strong 14-7, finishing 46-37. With this record its more likely than not that we will have that 7th spot and possible the elusive 6th spot. What do you guys think about this? And predict yourselves.

I have us at 44-38 but think that it's pretty optimistic. There will be at least 2 winnable games that we'll blow.

Memphis has the 6th seed close to locked up, as their schedule is fairly easy the rest of the way.

Utah and Houston have very difficult schedules. I have a feeling they'll both end up a game or two outside the playoffs.

So I think it comes down to us, the Hornets and the Kings for the last two places. Sac has the easiest schedule by far between the three teams - I think they'll keep climbing and make it into seventh. That leaves us and the Hornets fighting for 8. It might even come down to the last game of the season, the Hornets at Staples. Whoever wins it makes the playoffs - wouldn't that be exciting?

Shame that both teams will be fighting merely for the right to get swept by the Spurs in the first round.

Don't forget Utah in the mix - 2 games back and a split with the Kings is more likely.

I always had the Lakers winning 45 games but now see 43. May not be enough to make the playoffs - tiebreakers crucial.

Denver 3 33 28 0.541 0.0 18-18 7-3 21-12 12-16 7-3 Won 2
Utah 29 31 0.483 3.5 15-19 5-5 15-15 14-16 4-6 Won 1

Seattle 23 37 0.383 9.5 10-22 6-5 14-15 9-22 3-7 Won 1
Portland 19 40 0.322 13.0 8-26 3-8 13-16 6-24 2-8 Lost 2

[b]Phoenix 2 42 17 0.712 0.0 22-12 7-3 24-8 18-9 10-0 Won 11
L.A. Clippers 5 33 25 0.569 8.5 17-15 6-5 20-10 13-15 3-7 Lost 2

Sacramento 29 31 0.483 13.5 16-17 6-3 19-11 10-20 7-3 Won 1
Golden State 25 34 0.424 17.0 12-23 2-10 16-16 9-18 3-7 Lost 2
SOUTHWEST W L PCT GB Conf Div Home Road L 10 Streak
San Antonio 1 47 12 0.797 0.0 27-4 8-2 26-3 21-9 8-2 Won 7
Dallas 4 46 13 0.780 1.0 26-10 9-3 27-5 19-8 7-3 Lost 1
Memphis 6 33 27 0.550 14.5 22-17 5-8 19-9 14-18 6-4 Lost 1

NO/Oklahoma City 7 31 28 0.525 16.0 20-16 6-6 19-10 12-18 5-5 Lost 3
Houston 27 33 0.450 20.5 14-20 0-9 12-18 15-15 7-3 Won 2

Lakers also "using up" their home court advantage - other teams have also played almost same number.

Bolded teams seem like locks, others with chance have records in bold. Seems only GS, Portland, and the sorry Sonics have been eliminated at this point.

Watch out for the Rockets - Yao a beast lately!

8-13. Just being honest. The Kings are better on paper and will prove to be better on the court. This homestand really hurt us. Boston and Atlanta willcome back to haunt us.

Honestly, I only see 4 losses there. We are good enough to win 17.

But we won't because of the inconsistent effort on defense and just laissez faire attitude of some of the younger players.

I think 12-9 is realistic.

Will 43 wins get us in the playoffs? I think 7th and 8th seed will be 41-43 wins. 6th seed 44-45 wins.

Matchups against NO, Sacto and Denver are critical.

So I think if they play 100 percent every night, they can go 18-3, but I know they'll lose some games that they should win... so I'm guessing 14-7... pick four losses that should be wins.

I say 11-10.
I hate to say it, but I simply don't see them doing any better than that. I could see them falling below that mark though. Sure hope they prove me wrong.

Typical. Lo is far from a "young player"
we dont win/make playoffs unless LO plays like he did against Pistons. Games are much harder to come by this time of the year. Especially against teams we are fighting with who have more talent.

Teams will let kobe get 40 and lock down on the others. Unless LO can be consistent (nope), we will be on the outside looking in.

But its OK, we are learning the tri

Funny.

We've already played them once since they picked up Artest, and we won.

Not saying we'll sweep the next 2 for sure, but we could win 'em both,
and could certainly at least split them.

Artest has make the Queens alot better but they're still far from an elite
team.

I'm getting depressed just thinking about the off-season. I do, however, predict that we'll have a good run at the end of the season to keep us in the playoffs. Closing the season strong is what Phil and Kobe do best.

If we can somehow manage to go 14-7 , we will get that elusive 6th seed b/c Memphis will lock up 5th with their extremely easy schedule remaining. The battle for 6th will come down to us and Clipps...Clipps have a pretty tough stretch coming up towards the end of the season including the final 2 @Memphis and @ Dallas, If they play well, I think Clipps at best wil finish with 46 wins, but more likely 44...that means 14-7 will get us that 6th seed, but first we need to beat NO/OK 3 times and SAC 2 times more...if all goes well:

5: Memphis
6: Lakers
7: Clippers
8: Sacramento

*those are the 4 teams i think will make it, and hopefully that order will be right too!
