Could we have came back? Knowing we were down to a Spurs team that's as tough as it gets? I say we would've had a good shot, there was a couple minutes left, maybe 1:something left and it woulda brought it down to 7pts. With Kobe on fire, and a few stops...it coulda been possible. I bring this up because I thought of the Dallas game a few years back. (but then again, we couldn't stop Finley prior to that 3pt miss by George that was WIDE OPEN, so I don't know). Just wondering what everyone else though...cuz my heart was pounding when Kobe passed him the rock and he was out there wide open.

Sure it woulda been possible, and that shot would have gotten us a step
closer.

But basically we WERENT getting stops - chances are the next trip down
the floor they drop a duece on us again - as had happened repeatedly
after each of Kobe's successive 3-pointers.

Is it possible, sure. Likely?

Even with that DG-shot dropping, highly, highly doubtful.

We just weren't playing defense.

Would of been close but dont think it would of happen. Especially considering how hot Finley and Parker was and how poor our defense was in that stretch.

True, I just had flashbacks of the Dallas game a few years back. Damn Finley...well it actually started with Ginobili. But I noticed that even though were trading baskets at the end, we kept on chipping away with the whole 3 for 2 deal.
