I predict a very tough game in New Orleans tomorrow. This will be the first competitive sports relief that city has really had since the hurricane and in all likelyhood the Hornets are going to be pretty amped to give them a gift of a win. New Orleans is a good team in it's own right, but these are some pretty special motivators. I think the Lakers will have to be as good as in the Detroit game at the bare minimum - but likely will need to be better. _________________ I'm On point, On task, On message, and Off drugs. The Lakers need a win very badly. This is not the time to feel sorry for the City of New Orleans. Have empathy, but win the damn game. Sacto is on our heels. _________________ "A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste" - United Negro College Fund 1972 |

It's all about keep it close early, because I'm sure the the Hornets will play emotional and inspired basketball at the start of the game. |

I am scared because the hornets are on a losing streak and this game is a must win. How many times did this team end the opponent's losing streak or lose a must win game? _________________ "I think I've been forgotten about a little bit as far as what I can do on the basketball court,'' the Los Angeles Lakers star guard said, "People forget." |

yeah, a lot of people, including the coach are looking ahead to the Spurs on Friday(phil commented "lets see the Spurs shoot like that on friday...")I would be worried about the hornets if I was phil, because this team is going to come out like a cornered animal. |

I think that Oklahoma City is a tougher place to play in.
Fans are better and way more involved.
I think that we have more chances to win in NO than Oklahoma city.
You can also say that the Hornets are not used to play in NO this year ... |

Or play too hard and fade down the stretch. |

Scared? No offense but it's a good thing we don't have you on the roster.
The word shouldn't be in anyone's vocabulary.

pj is going to make the right adjustments after the last loss to the hornets
i hope and pray we dont see that lame full court press the lakers use against some teams bc it doesnt work against cp and the hornets
we should win if we dont press bc i think they are going to keep losing due to the fact that they have young players who arent going to bring it down the stretch of a season
or i might be wishfully thinking _________________ Kevin Love. 2015. |

They are not as excited to be back in that city. They liked playing in Oklahoma City. I don't see tomorrows game as some kind of welcome home party.
We better win. |

Well it looks like they'll have to put up with some disappointment, because the Lakers will win that game. _________________ "In essence, the trade was: Shaq, Rick Fox and Gary Payton for Odom, Kwame, Mihm, Profit, 2nd round picks, a 1st round pick and 30 million in luxury tax saviings." - LakerJam

If I were the Lakers I would play the same collapsing defense against Paul/Claxton that they did Parker.
I don't think the Hornets have the consistent 3 point shooters and if they miss it leads to some easy outlets for us.
Also, the Lakers own 3 point shooting is very important. They can not have a high 3 point attempt game (unless they are making 50% of them) since the Hornets love to run. Transition D is critical. |
